Restaurant in walking distance of where we were staying. Dog friendly if you sit on porch. Extensive menu. Loved the Tom Yum soup and had the Royal salad first time we were there. Curry dishes are very good and had a rice entree that had chicken and pineapple. Brown rice available as well. And be sure to save room for the Mango sticky rice dessert. Waitresses very friendly. Reasonably priced

It's a sushi restaurant..If you are particular about your fish and sushi, this is not the place for you....try San SHi Go or 242 in Laguna Beach....they serve the best sushi.

We had wanted to like this place. It was disappointing both in terms of food and especially the service.The only upside was that we were here for happy hour so the dishes were at a reduced price. After tasting the food, we decided not to stay for dinner and went somewhere else.The sushi rice was overcooked and too mushy. We were not sure whether the fish was not kept at the right temperature or that it sat too long in a hot kitchen before being brought out. Either way, it was not served at the correct temperature.Unfortunately this place is neither recommended nor will we be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed this sushi Restaraunt. Stumbled upon it during happy hour and couldn't beat the prices! Only $5 for several amazing rolls... Although half a roll, it was worth it! A must stop for excellent sushi!

If you are looking for good traditional Chinese food in Laguna- Mandarin King is a great place a few blocks north of town right on the PCH! Service was excellent and most of the food dishes were excellent, particularly the chicken dishes! Prices were very reasonable as well!

We live around the corner and were regulars because of convenience. The menu is very basic sushi, nothing creative or different. We stopped going because the sushi didn't seem as fresh and our last order looked like it was previously frozen and water logged. We some issues with bad service and a few meals that weren't great. We just figured they were having off days. The last straw that we stopped going was I picked up sushi to take home and my husband and I each had a piece and it was awful...waterlogged. I called the management and told them what was going on. Instead of apologizing and trying to make things right, I was told I probably left it in the car! I took it back to show them and they wanted to credit me for the pieces I was returning minus the two pieces my husband and I ate! I guess I should mention, I picked up sushi to take it home all the time and they knew me from coming in. That was the last time I went there and never looked back. We go to Okura which has a great menu and the freshest sushi.

We lucked out and got a table right away at this small first-come, first-served sushi café, our second attempt to get seated at this popular spot. Hands down the best sushi we've experienced, wonderfully creative and artfully prepared. Service was outstanding.

Visited here last night. Our server was welcoming and accommodating as one of our party had a food allergy. She checked with the chef and as promised kept any unsuitable sauces/dishes separate. Be warned the portions are extremely generous therefore you donât need to order quite so many dishes. Each would feed 3-4 people. The green jungle curry and Red Devil curry were both delicious and served with rice. There were lots of vegetables within both dishes such as broccoli, zucchini,carrots so I donât feel you need to order a veg dish. The sharing sample platter and pad Thai both tasty. All in all the service , food , value for money was first class. Definitely worth a try.

We returned to The Loft for an anniversary dinner with anticipation because of an amazing experience we'd had there before when we'd been visiting the area. Over all our experience was good, the waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere amazing, but I was surprised and disappointed when I ordered scallops for $48 and only received three.They were absolutely fabulous but I had to get more food after we left because I was still hungry and needed more protein. Later I wished I would have said something. Wondering if there was a mistake. The one other downside is that we were seated next to a table of about 10 woman who were having a baby shower. They were doing what they should have been doing, having a great time and talking about all sorts of pregnancy, giving birth and breast feeding topics. But it wasn't a great pairing with an anniversary dinner and we might as well have been sitting at the table with them.Dear Lorina, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. In town for business and Starfish came very highly recommended. We were impressed... started with delicious hand crafted adult beverages - outstanding. Loved the lychee martini and blackberry mojito. Dinner, we just shared small plates but the mussels in green curry was a standout. Donât forget to ask for coconut rice with it. Ask for Trish service was excellent. ;). Definitely will come back next trip.
