My wife and I were in the area just looking around, and happened upon this ice cream place. I asked if she wanted a cone, and she said she did; so, being on vacation, we got one each. Don’t recall the brand, but the man gave us ample scoops. I’m 290 pounds, so I look at such stuff! Then (because my wife is walking handicapped) he offered to carry hers out to the car. How nice! So if I’m in that area of New York again, I will stop at this place—if at all possible!

So who reviews a Subway?!Normally I would not. I can't even tell you why I went in. I've long believed Subway is a dieing brand because they started shorting customers on quantity years ago.But I actually got a full sandwich from this location! It was meaty. It was well cheesed. It had bountiful toppings not named lettuce. It was like Subway used to be in 1996. Good times...

The sweet sauce at LB Grand is what I compare all other sauces to and nothing else comes close. I only wish they sold it in stores. The only place I care to order meatballs too. Excellent !

Mooney's Bar and Grill

Just finished dinner at Mooney's and were very disappointed. Upon entering the Special Board said Wings 50 cents. Did add a qualifier of "Must purchase a beverage".I choose the soup and Cesar Salad. My wife choose the Taco special of buy one get one free. The Taco was large, very large. Good value. She also had a glass of wine. It was small but cost $7.50. Cheap wine exorbitant price. Highest price in the whole area.My soup? Same soup at any Subway is better. My Cesar salad? Only lettuce, cheap shaker cheese, croutons, and soaked in a high vinegar dressing. No extras. Way too much dressing - it was drenched! Vinegar overpowered the dressing.Service? Well, remember the Specials Board said "Wings 50 cents"? When ordered 2 wings I was told the minimum of 10 wings. I pointed out the signs, yes two different signs didn't say minimum order 10. Curt reply was nope minimum of 10. No sorry about that or anything; just nope.Waiter was average at best. When the bill came I did see the full receipt but after paying with my CC I did not get the full receipt. I had to ask for it and he wasn't sure he could get it. Did get it but his attention thru out was not the best as during other visits. My suggestion is drink water not wine and order the Mac choices only.

Farmer's Creekside Tavern & Inn

Pasta entrée was $28, and if we wanted bread or salad, we'd have had to pay extra (a lot extra). Surprising that a restaurant in a small town in upstate NY can survive with prices this high and everything a la carte. Food quality and service were both excellent. Room we were in was VERY noisy, so much so that we had to move so we could have a conversation, and even then, the noise from the bar made it tough to be heard. A nice night out, but not quite the quiet, relaxing meal we were hoping for.
