My husband and I had a hot, delicious lunch at Pappy's and appreciated the selection on the buffet. In addition to a salad bar including fresh fruits, the all-you-can-eat buffet included a choice of three meats; we were told the options would be changed up regularly and on this particular visit they offered fried chicken, meatloaf, and pork cutlets in sauce. Side dishes included mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, and a mixed vegetable dish with cheese. Dessert options were carrot cake and German chocolate cake. We were also given a menu to take home; if you prefer you can order from a menu and there was a large selection of entrees, burgers, sandwiches, etc. Take out is also available.The servers were very attentive and pleasant. They were quick to bring drink refills, and remove dirty plates from the table. We observed staff regularly checking the buffet offerings to make sure everything was hot and had sufficient quantity. The building is new and everything is bright and clean. We look forward to returning and sampling more of their offerings!

I have come to this unassuming cafe regularly since they opened in late 2016. I have always been pleased with the drinks here. They have lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, Nitro iced coffee, hot chocolate and teas... Everything you would expect at a nice coffee shop. They are happy to customize drinks to suit you. They also have a small menu of hot items for breakfast (biscuits and gravy, eggs, etc.) and lunch (paninis, burgers, soups, fresh salads; no french fries, nothing fried - unusual for this area!). They also have several flavors of hard ice cream. This is a great place to stop and refuel on your trip down highway 54. The service is excellent.

The Chapel is a welcome addition to dining options in El Dorado Springs. The Chapel stands out for its very fresh, very large sized variety of wraps, which is the primary offering on their menu. Other options include soups and homemade macaroni and cheese. We sampled the Navajo Corn Chowder and found it to be hearty and filling, with just a touch of spicy. The dessert menu is truly outstanding. We had the pecan praline cheesecake, the key lime pie, and the carrot cake. Each sublime treat was so delicious, and so artfully presented.The service was wonderful. Our server was attentive without hoovering, and knowledgeable about all menu items.There is ample parking. You have the choice of street parking on Main Street, or drive around the block and they have a parking lot behind the restaurant.The Chapel has a lovely, elegant atmosphere with great attention to detail. It is available to reserve for small and medium sized gatherings. It is a great choice for an intimate lunch with family and friends, or that special someone, or for business lunches.

Took the short drive from Carthage to Nevada with friends to sample the cousins for the first time. Needless to say we were no disappointed. My filet was cooked to perfection. Portions were generous. It is pricey for the area but the quality of food and the atmosphere make it very worthwhile. Outstanding meal!
