We had visited the Silver mine before but decided to revisit. This visit was far more enjoyable for the following reasons:
The groups were sorted into English speaking or German. This made the commentary so much easier to follow rather than using the translation phones (which are not always easy to get to).
Secondly, the number of people on each carriage on the train had been reduced making it a lot more comfortable to travel on.
The actual trip was very interesting , when visiting take note of the conditions the guys worked in, It is an eye opener.

The gorge has many waterfall and is a pleasant relief from the heat of summer. There are steps, but that does not mean that it is an easy walk. I wore sandals and regretted my decision because there is some rocky and slippery terrain inside and many places in the trail are quite wet. Parking is 4 euros for a day ticket (payable at the machine in the lot) and entry is 4.50 per adult. It is about 45 minutes in each direction with time for admiring and/or photographing the falls. We went in late afternoon after most of the crowds had left (no one was in the ticket booth after 16.00) and had many areas all to ourselves. I could imagine that earlier in the day the crowds might make the trip take a bit longer.

This is ideal for wet and dry weather and for any visitors. The rooms are incredibly important in terms of early 16th century furniture, panelling, paintings, objects, decor and decorative items. There is also an armory. Excellent commentary via English audio guide. Really good value for money as well. There are walks in the grounds as well and a restaurant which was well patronised.
Free car parking and a "train" to transport those less able to walk from the car park to the Schloss.

Unbedingt vorherige Terminabsprache erforderlich!

After several days of skiing in Alpbach, our kids (ages 5-11) were done with the cold so we took the trip to Vomp (30 min). HappyHopp kept them excited for several hours and my wife and I were able to relax in the easy chairs provided for the parents.
It's a great place with slides, climbing gyms, trampolines, giant legos, go-karts, food, and a soccer pitch.
Totally worth a visit when you're tired of the cold and don't know what to do with your kids for a few hours. Our 11 year-old was on the top end of age appropriate. If he were a year or two older, he would probably have thought he was too old, even though adults are encouraged to participate and I personally had a great time on some of the slides and inflatable jumpy-houses.

Although it would be better to name this indoor parc Exotic Garden because of there are, in fact, not much butterflies, it is still a lovely place to visit. The birds actually do come to you, although a little patience (and some food) is required. It is not very big but it has a nice atmosphere to pass some time. There is a "Walk around" with shows a big collection of bugs (in show cases), and also live animals (beetles, scorpions etc in terrariums). Everything well done, well marked. There are also Koi-fish which can be fed, although I am not sure of the quality of the food you can buy to feed them. The brochure says it's the jungle in Tirol, well that may be somewhat exaggerated. But still I can recommend passing the time here. It is in fact on the other side of the street from the House On Head (Haus Steht Kopf) so a combi-ticket is recommended.

We did! My wife and our dog...it is 28 km walk around the lake.
We started in Pertisau and did the circle. The village itself is nice and quiet. Than you have walk for ca 7 km ups and downs with lovely view on lake and surroundings. There are some huts on the way, but don't expect anything special. But we want to enjoy the nature!
Many attractions around - cycling, kitesurfing, yachting, running, train for kids. Really lovely day.
Take good shoes and water with you and have a great day!

Another visit to Hochfugen and a wonderful week's skiing that provides excellent facilities for all standards. Good T bar and chair lifts with the appropriate gondolas too so moving up and down is not a problem.

Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds) turns Swarovski crystal into a living experience that is constantly changing and being reimagined for its visitors: In the Chambers of Wonder and the expansive garden, internationally and nationally recognized artists, designers, and architects have interpreted crystal in their own unique ways. After its third and largest expansion from 2013 to 2015, the fantasy world of the iconic Giant stretches over 7.5 Hectares, offering an unparalleled mixture of contemporary art, ancient history and fascinating nature. Since its opening in 1995, more than thirteen million visitors have visited Swarovski Crystal Worlds. That makes it one of the most popular attractions in Austria. Highlights of Swarovski Crystal Worlds are the Chambers of Wonder, the Crystal Cloud, which consists of 800,000 hand-mounted Swarovski crystals and drifts above the black Mirror Pool, the playtower and playground, wich gives children all kinds of playing experiences and the Daniels Kristallwelten. Cafe & Restaurant, which offers unforgettable culinary delights. The Swarovski Kristallwelten Store is a generous shopping landscape, which is the only area that brings together all of the product worlds of Swarovski. Enjoy your stay at Swarovski Crystal Worlds!
To be fair if you can go when it is dark it will be better, the lightshows are non-existent in the early evening. The galleries under the giants head are interesting but that's about it, unless of course you want to by expensive crystals from the very large store. Add the price of the shuttle bus and it's an expensive trip out. So glad we bought the Innsbruck card as it's one of the places you can visit for 'free'
