We did not want to eat at the Mac or BK so we left the highway for a bite to eat. Food is okay, real German/Austrian food. Nothing fancy. Is definitely better than Mac/BK. I would rate it at 3.5 out of 5 if possible, 4 I found a bit too much

Someone recommended this restaurant to me and the guy was right. Even the place was almost full at lunchtime (and there's lots of space) meals arrived very quickly and in a quality I didn't expect. It's situated not far from the motorway Brenner to Munich, so a cool place to have a stop and meal. And prices are really reasonable.

The place has great potential - lovely scenery, view, nice house etc - but they don't deliver accordingly. We have visited the restaurant several times and the food is average, but the service in the restaurant is poor. For excellent food and outstanding service, visit the restaurant nearby, called Michaelerhof, instead.

This is a sound place for good nourishment with Austrian and local specialities. Very friendly owners. I recommend it after many years of happy encounters. Try their trout, if available. Worth 3.5 points and satisfaction guaranteed. Above average.

Imaginative set menu offered every weekday, normally with a choice between 2 starters, 2 main plates and 2 Deserts - usually for under €15. If there weathers fine [spring, summer or early fall] they have a large Terrace that offers views of the surrounding Inn Valley Mountains.

This is the oldest restaurant in Innsbruck and was recommended by the guide we used for a walking tour. The feel of the place is authentic with several rooms. We were a group of 15 and they accommodated us with a large table in an alcove. We all wanted separate checks and they were happy to oblige us. We all ordered different things and everything came together. In addition to the regular menu they had a seasonal one of wild game. I had venison and it was very good. The service and the food were very good.

Schwannerwirt

Our ambitious kitchen team is committed to the regional character of our menu and we are proud to be a ,,Tiroler Wirtshaus" (tyrolean inn)! We are convinced that locally sourced ingredients boost the kitchen quality and we have been awarded the AMA seal for our use of regional and Austrian products respectively. Beef, pork, veal and lamb, as well as potatoes, eggs, milk, milk products and cheese are being sourced from local farmers and the culinary regions of the area. Cakes and gateaux are home made as well as all the other desserts on our menu. As a matter of course our menu is focussed around the seasonal availability of ingredients. Our wine menu represents exclusively Austrian vineyards. Along with excellent bottled wines we also offer a selection of exquisite wines of renowned wine-growers by the glas. In total, we have approx. 170 seats in 3 restaurants plus 80 additional seats on the summer patio. Our restaurant is a non-smoking facility with one dedicated room, where smoking is permitted. Together with our friendly service team we are looking forward to welcoming you as our guests! Hot food is served from 11:30h until 21:00h

While the menu isn't extensive, it offers many Austrian classics. Portions are huge, and the servers are friendly and dressed in traditional lederhosen and dirndls. The atmosphere is pleasant, and I imagine the large sun porch would be lovely for alfresco dining in good weather.
