Stopped after a wedding for a quick snack. The service and pizza were good. One of the few places in town open past 10:00

I place an order at 12:00, specifically told them I needed it to arrive by 1:30. They told me it would be there by 1:00. I only get 1/2 hour for lunch and it is a specific time, I cannot adjust the time. The food arrived at 1:40. When we called at 1:20 to see where it was they said "it's almost ready". Really? When the food arrived, while it was hot, it tasted horrible. The chicken tasted like it had been kept in a freezer for 6 months. Terrible.

Trying to find something other than a fast food restaurant in Luray proved to be a bit of a challenge. We lucked into "Anthony's" and had an enjoyable lunch. I had the antipasto salad (salad with provolone, salami and ham). Other guests with me had an eggplant parmesan sub; a sausage and peppers sub and Italian wedding soup. All were quite tasty and we enjoyed them. Shared a canoli for dessert and it was good too. Good value, good service, and good food. Glad we stumbled upon it!

Better than expected! Couple of things up front. They do have table service which is not clear from the pictures related to the restaurant. Second, they do serve beer and wine. Dined here early on a Tuesday evening (4:30pm). I was the only one in the dining room but then again normal folks were probably working. Lol. Was greeted upon entry and had a menu and silverware in hand by the time I sat at my table. The view out of the window is of a shopping center so its' not a mountain view but it was kinda fun watching the people scurry about. I ordered a glass of wine, side salad, and a small pizza. The wine arrived quickly and was not bad at all. The salad was more of a traditional salad with banana peppers, onion, carrots, tomatoes, and olives added. No Cesar salad available. They have two types of pizza those being hand tossed and Sicilian. I got the hand tossed pepperoni and asked for well done as I like a bit of crunch to my pie. It arrived piping hot and will lots of pepperoni. It was also bigger than expected. Only could eat half but took the rest with me for a snack. So, for price. Two glasses of wine, salad, and pizza for $24. Not bad. Not bad at all. I travel here occasionally and have pleased this on my return list.
They have daily specials for $6 making Mrs. B's a great value. The staff is very nice and friendly. The restaurant is clean and inviting.
