We have enjoyed a few peaceful breakfasts at this cafe with a warm and welcoming ambience. Located in a leafy side street at Lilydale, with parking at the door. Indoor and outdoor eating areas overlooking parkland. Love the grey blankets on each metal chair to either sit on or drape over your legs. Food is delicious and even a simple scrambled eggs on toast is appetisingly served. Staff is friendly and will accommodate groups of customers or just one there to have a coffee and read a book overlooking the parkland.Will definitely revisit.

This is promoted as fine dining in the Entertainment book but it is a big barn of a place with laminex tables and paper serviettes and very noisy. The grounds are just so-so as they are set up for big concerts so the outlook is not wonderful. The food is good but expensive, service is good also. There is also a big gift shop with parties of tourists tasting wines. I think they try to do too much so spoil the dining experience. We went to celebrate our anniversary and were quite disappointed, will not go again.Thank you for taking the time out to leave your comments and I'm sorry to hear that your visit was not up to our usual high standard. We had a family function here at Chirnside Park Country Club and the food was lovely, the staff were very friendly and happy to help. We also had a main meal afterwards and that was great value, well cooked, and well presented, I've been back since and still happy with everything.

If you're in the heart of Melbourne near the campus of RMIT University- then Pearson and Murphy''s Cafe offers a pleasant and welcome atmosphere for coffee, tea, sandwiches and other and snacks. Its full of academics and students but it deserves to be better known.
