Worst pizzeria pizza we ever had. Ordered a large pepperoni and Italian sausage. Was really bad. I’ve had better tasting frozen pizzas. Imagine greasy cardboard topped with pepperoni and sausage. I didn’t taste any sauce, the cheese was hard to find. Nasty, won’t be back.

We were very impressed with this casual Italian restaurant hidden in a strip mall. Parking was ample as it shares a lot with other businesses. Very casual atmosphere, we seated ourselves for dinner and it appeared about half-full. Staff was very friendly and menu had plenty of options for adults and kids. We ordered "The Pie Combo" pizza (similar to a Supreme with a good mix of toppings) as well as kids meals of Spaghetti with meatball and grilled cheese. The pizza was very good, with a good crust and fresh toppings. The meatball was homemade and very tasty with the spaghetti. The grilled cheese was HUGE and the kids both loved it. Prices are decent, and we definitely recommend.

Leonardo's Trattoria & Pizzeria

Authentic Sicilian dining in the heart of Mandeville! Enjoy a warm, friendly atmosphere, top-notch service and delicious meals prepared by Chef Leonardo Giarraputo. Chef Leonardo’s culinary expertise stretches back to his youth in Santa Margherita di Beli

There was a time when you found this type of "Sicilian Cuisine" all over New Orleans. And there are still a lot of examples still there (Faust's, Vincent's and Irene's just to name a few, although Irene's is more eclectic) And a lot of New Orleanians moved to the Northshore and found this type of cuisine few and far between. Enter Leonardo's Trattoria and you understand why this place is so popular. He named it "trattoria" for a reason...it's not a fancy ristorante, it's a cafe with very limited seating (I guess around 50 seats or so). The kitchen is small but plenty big enough to accommodate his faithful patrons to this humble abode. Inside it's well decorated in "trattoria decor", dark wood tables and chairs with no tableclothes. The rustic bar seats 5 (I think) and is used for singles dining. It's a nice, pleasant space. The menu is pretty much what your Noni (Italian grandmother) would have served her family...standard stars like Veal Parm, lasagna, fresh made pastas, pizza, flat breads, soups, salads, picatta, pesto and cream sauces. All executed superbly, coming to the table steaming hot, well presented and generous. Everyone I saw there took home a doggie box. The caesar salad was lightly dressed using only the inner, tender leaves of romaine. Fried calamari was top notch served with marinara and a half of a lemon. Veal was a large, fried round that covered the plate. Was it a processed patty? I couldn't tell but for $14 I wasn't complaining. Dessert was a splendid cannoli flavored with a hint of lemon. The ricotta filling was whipped to an airy lightness that set it apart from any I had had before elsewhere. The espresso is worth just the trip alone. Service is friendly, no nonsense and very efficient. We dined at an off time around 3pm on a weekday...weekends must be crazy for the waitstaff and crew. The prices are phenomenal. We got a large plate of calamari, (enough for 4), Veal Parmigiana with pasta, lasagna (lunch portion with a salad (both for $8!), 2 double espressos, two iced teas, 2 cannoli and a bottle of Chianti for under $100 plus they also serve you bread with an olive oil dipping sauce. We seriously suggest you try to dine on their off hours if possible. Even the normal lunch hour on the weekdays is packed. It's located in the back area of a corner strip mall. The crape myrtles by the road have grown tall enough to obscure his signage. Also using Google Maps we experienced a minor hiccup in her directions to this parking lot. If you are familiar to the area Leonardo's is right next to the Mandeville Emergency Vet Clinic. The only negative I can come up with is that I found the red sauce to be a tad too salty since they top most dished with parmigiana too.

We love pizza in our house and we normally order from Pizza Hut or one of the chain places but had Marcos once and fell in love with their pizza and always order from them for the last 4 years! Love all of the pizza, salads, desserts and everything else to order. The service is always great too. Always order from Marcos! I didn't realize it was a chain until my best friend was in town and told me they had one in Austin, TX and we ordered it and loved it here too. All lived the pizza here too! Must try and highly recommend!

Wife and I were looking for a place to have pizza closer to the house. We have our place that we like to eat at, but its 30-40 mins away. We pass Light House on our way home, all the time. So we decided to eat dinner, we dined in. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. The place looked great and was bigger then we thought and well decorated. We had cheese sticks and a 12in pizza (meats). The food came pretty quick we were the only ones dining in at the time, but still. The cheese sticks were ok, have had better, BUT the pizza was great well cooked had fresh toppings and was cooked by hand. It had a great taste and we were able to take leftovers home, which when warmed in the oven tasted great again. They serve cold draft beer and daiquiris altho we didn't have any daiquiris there was a lot of walkin's getting both pizza and daiquiris. We may have found a new place to eat pizza.
