Ordered take away and when we brought it home, we realised that it was totally wrong dishes despite the waitress repeating our order. After some push back over the phone from the restaurant, they agreed to replace. Shouldn't have bothered...Pad Thai was far too sweet. Their specialty satay sauce was too watery. Disappointed. Won't be back.

Booked for 6.30, asked to vacate by 8.00pm ordered meals and by 7.45 pm even though we spoke to waitress twice,they forgot to order our food,they quickly bought out 1 dish 15 min later I asked again re food with no response so we got up and left.As we left, lady said we were rude to leave go figure sorry but the service was disgustingHi Andrew, thank you for your valuable feedback following your visit to Vanilla Orchid Thai Restaurant.We are very sorry to hear that your visit was unsatisfactory, particularly as we typically receive positive feedback regarding our friendly service. This place actually provided my partner and I with the worst Thai I have ever tasted. We ordered a Pad Thai and Massaman beef curry- two very standard Thai dishes. The Pad Thai was all noodles and cabbage, no flavor or substance. The Massaman curry was even worse- the beef was hard and chewy and the sauce watery and once again flavorless. I have never complained about food at the end of the meal before upon paying at an establishment however after eating here I felt compelled to do so. The staff acknowledged the poor tasting food and gave us a 10% discount, how generous! We visited here about a year ago and the food was fine, obviously in a year though the food has majorly changed for the worse.We left feeling disappointed and hungry and will not be going back.

I enjoyed dining at the Thai restaurant that was first in this location. When that restaurant left, a number of different Thai restaurants have been at this location, with the most recent being, again, a local favourite Asian restaurant. Unlike so many others restaurants that re quite noisy, I appreciate that this restaurant has furnishings and enough space around tables to allow diners to chat without shouting to be heard above the ambient noise. The meals are quite mildly spiced, even those that are described on the menu as more spicy, so if you enjoy hotter spice, be sure to mention this or ask for a side of chili. I've enjoyed two dinners here, recently, first as a lone diner and later with a friend. I enjoyed both dinners, trying a range of different disches. Prices are very reasonable. Service was good and reasonably fast, even on a Friday night.

Had dinner here with friends on a Tuesday night- place had a steady flow of customers eating in and take away. Restaurant is nicely decorated and very comfortable...but I was distracted by the air con which was crooked on back wall! Staff were very attentive and service was fabulous- they even poured our water for us. Food came out quickly and was nicely presented and super tasty- chicken in coconut sauce and the BBQ duck were big hits! Meals are roughly $17-25 and decent sized servings. Good variety of options available. Really enjoyed my meal and the whole place- will be back!Plenty of parking available- behind KFC or across the road at the Plaza.

Friday night meal with friends . not particularly busy . Service was s..l..o..w. Had to ask for menus and separately for water and glasses . Took about an hour after arrival for entrees to come . Empty plates not collected and only removed when mains arrived after another hour . Screaming kids at the next table did not help the atmosphere . However those collecting take away food seemed to be handled promptly perhaps in preference to those sitting . Having had my whinge , the actual food was lovely and plentiful so no complaints there . So if you are in no haste , its a yes , but I find disorganization stressful .

Met up with another couple tonight at this restaurant. Between us we had four entrees and four main meals, far too much for all of us but the food was fresh and tasty, the service was friendly and efficient and the price was reasonable. Whilst not a close local resturant, it was a good restaurant to visit as it was easy to park, easy to book and even though there seemed to be a lot of other people there we were served within a reasonable amount of time. No complaints, except that there is so much to chose from on the menu that it took us a while to finally figure out what we wanted. Main meals were number 17, 65, 66, 67 - all really good and delicious). We will certainly recommend this restaurant to friends in the area and will certainly bring others here to taste their fabulous food. A good night out.

Attending for a family special occasion this restaurant presented a genuine Thai ambiance with an authentic Thai taste.Gluten Free dishes were clearly identified on the glossy menu and plentiful in optionsWe ordered a soup, a noodle dish and a curry with rice to share on our table of 3. Dishes were served just cooked with fresh ingredients A very pleasant and delicious meal.
