Kobegyu Steak Ken

What a hidden gem! I was nervous in regards to the location as it seemed a little "seedy." However, the food was fabulous! Best steak I have ever had in my life. Lived up to the Kobe experience. Ken displayed his certification to sell Kobe beef and presented us with a take home certificate of the lineage of our cow. It was a meal of several courses and included one alcoholic beverage as well. The restaurant is very small and quiet. They are very kind to their patrons. They do ask for a deposit and give you a receipt. So glad we ate here! I highly recommend it!!!

Tasty grilled beef, not too pricy. There is an English menu too. I ate here 5 yrs ago but back then it was near BW hotel; this is a new location. Everything still brilliant just like before. I like the raw beef sushi, it is great with beer.

Gyukatsu Motomura Namba

[Gyukatsu-MOTOMURA ] will continue to provide the taste of "Gyukatsu" in an honest fashion with the idea of "making Gyukatsu a Japanese food culture." Grill fried beef in medium rare on stone palate, and enjoy it with wasabi soy sauce. We cover the meat c

Recommended by a nephew, our group visited the restaurant for lunch. A stairway going down from the street level with people queueing suggests that the place is a favorite. In no time we were seated and immediately greeted by a friendly order taker who also promptly informed us that a complimentry cola drink is for the taking if we make a review in google. The katsu cutlets were promotly served half-cooked and the idea is to continue cooking it on the ceramic top griller of some sort fueled by some kind of a lit candle gel ( or so ).The food is great. You can time your cooking onbyour pace so food is always deliciously hot in every bite. The meat is super tender and delicious one has to taste it to experience what i am trying to describe but can't. The order comes with a generous amount of coleslaw and a small potato salad. Some degree of chopsticking was made in cooking the meat.

We serendipitously stumbled into this small restaurant on our last night of a quick trip to Osaka, and were warmly greeted and seated. We loved the tucked-away feeling of the booths, even when graciously relocated due to smoking patrons in the next booth. Once the menu and provenience of the beef was patiently explained, we set in to enjoy the delicate flavors, the coziness of the restaurant and our booth, and the attention we received at just the right times. We enjoyed the table service and the walk through Dotonburi to get there. Thank you Yoshi!

We were excited to dine again in the same concept of dining what we liked most in Tokyo, but it didn’t live up to our expectation. The only thing similar is that you are barbecuing the meat yourself, but other than that it’s so different. There is no set menu, you have to order one by one the meat, side dish, rice, etc and you get less portion and it cost more compared to the one we visited in Tokyo. The ambiance is also dull and not so welcoming.
