Fantastic
Reviewed By Steve KStayed here for 2 nights and loved it. The food (breakfast and dinner)was amazing and the host was so helpful when it came to organising our days. I ended up wishing I stayed here longer. Would definitely come back.

Good place to stay for a few days
Reviewed By JacMeniVery basic accomodation just in front of seaside. The most of its value is meals (breakfast and dinner), quietness (the sound of waves, amazing sunset and the sky full of stars) and the friendly and welcoming manner of the owner and the whole staff. We had troubles with wifi all the time and our pocket wifi couldn't work at all. Our room had to share bathroom with other 6 guests, regarding to this maybe it's a bit too expensive. Be sure to have a car if you want to visit the island and its most beautiful beaches because the minshuku is isolated and far from the best beaches of Amami. Japanese style room and meals; payment only cash.

One night 1 person evening and with a breakfast fact of 9700 yen Even Beach is 1 minute. While it's raw, at 7 minutes, it's welcomed and sent off by car more than a harbor. While it's raw, if you take the ship which goes to a harbor please call.

Reviewed By thecuriouswolfWe landed on Kakeroma with no reservations, thinking we could find a place. Bad idea. Always reserve ahead if you're heading here. It was low season, but nobody was prepared for us, so it was difficult to find a place. We turned up on Rikki's doorstep. He couldn't host us because he had his sons graduation to attend, but he rang around and found us another great place to stay and even lent us his van so we could collect our bags from where we'd ditched them. The rooms at Rikki's looked really nice. Like I said, we didn't stay there, but from the look of the rooms and Rikki's personality, I'd recommend it.

伊勢海老とお料理が美味しいペンションです！！
Reviewed By Navigate815229「海人（うみんちゅ）」とは島の言葉で「漁師」という意味だそうです。 ”素潜り漁師”のご主人が捕ってこられた伊勢海老や新鮮な魚（この日はエラブチという高級魚）、奥様の地元の食材でつくられた創作料理はどれも絶品です！ お料理や食材について、また、島の習わしや生活など色々とお話しして頂きました。脱サラして移住されただけあって、海や島への愛着が感じられました。 ２部屋のみで、リピーターの方が多いとのことなので、ウェブで偶然発見した時は空室があるか心配で、即電話しました。というのもJALの機内誌『SKY WARD』で紹介されたとありましたので。 結局、希望日が取れず、こちらの予定を変更して泊まる事ができました。 お部屋は、天井が高く、ロフトにベッドが並んでいます。お風呂とトイレは部屋を出て直ぐの所にあります。 浜をのんびり散策したり、集落を散歩するのも楽しく、ゆったりと島時間を過ごす事ができました。

A gem of a Pension
Reviewed By Peter AA Gem of a Pension It is always a pity that some places never make the top of the list in trip advisor. They neither have a customers that can bother to write a review or maybe they do not have enough rooms to have enough customers. The pension Blue Angel is a gem that does not get noticed. Alas it was unnoticeable when I began searching for a place to stay! Anyway the pension is about ten minutes by taxi from the airport. It is just off the road and it is planted in a beautiful beach scene. The pension has about four rooms. Two on each side of the of the dining area that has a beautiful view of the sea. The owner of the pension is a sweet lady Kubo-San, who was kind enough to take my reservation at late notice. She creates a great atmosphere with great BGM. The room I stayed in was clean and spacious, the bathroom was small for me but she had a bigger one if I needed it. The charm of the pension is the garden that leads down to the beach. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable and the toilets are clean. On the down side she does not have a restaurant and you have to go out for dinner. The breakfast was simple but good. You will need a car to see the island and to access it is essential to get to this pension. I highly recommend this pension and you will not be disappointed! Oh there is one snag you probably have to have a little Japanese but not much!

安いのに快適でとても良くして頂きました
Reviewed By Ginbaku夕食は付きませんが、スーパーへの買い出しに車を出して下さいました。夕食時、ご近所さんからのスイカのお裾分け頂きました。朝ごはんは、たったの３００円ですが、地元のものが並んでいて、嬉しく美味しく。お米も奥様のご親戚の方が無農薬で作られているとか。 お部屋もお風呂もトイレもキレイで清潔で、悪いところは何も見つかりません。 宿から海も近く、海へ行くと言うと、ライフジャケットを持たせて下さいました。 奥様手作りの黒ニンニク沢山頂きました。 帰宅してから毎日食べていますが、いつもは体調崩れる梅雨の季節、今年は体が軽いです。 宿から満天の星空が見えるそうで、生憎の天気で見れず、機会あれば、また宿泊したいです。

Reviewed By 8429初めてのドミトリータイプの宿泊で不安もありましたが、とても良くしていただきました！ 男女別部屋でベッドにカーテンで仕切りがついています。 一階の共用ルームで食事をされてる方もいて、宿泊客同士で楽しい時間を過ごすこともできました。 春休みや夏休みは学生も多く宿泊されているようです。 安い＝清潔感がない、ということはなく、特に不快に思うことはありませんでした。 家のようにリラックスして過ごすことができるアットホームな雰囲気がとてもよかったです！ オーナーさんはもちろん、長期間宿泊されている方にもとても良くしていただき、奄美に来た際にはまた宿泊したい宿です。
