Based on recommendations, we visited this restaurant when we were in Osaka. The matsusaka beef was fantastic. Instead of ordering set platters, we decided on a la carte orders of sirloin, ribeye, top blade and kyukyoku and round it off with miso soup and beef fat rice. The beef literally melted in our mouths. The marbling was superb. Although the service staff wanted to help us, we decided to do the grilling ourselves. They provided a piece of beef fat to oil the grille. If you are in Osaka and a beef lover, try this restaurant. Premium beef is expensive but if your budget permits, don't miss it. It is a out-of-this world experience. In fact, the best meal in our stay in Japan.

Headed here for dinner after the sumo tournament one night. Made a 820pm reservation. A little slow to respond via email, but we got there in the end.Venue is cheap and cheerful. Staff were friendly and explained everything. We went with option 1 and just paid for drinks (think you would have to be drinking a fair bit to get value with drinks package, as drinks seemed reasonable price).Meats were good, some more options on the verge side would have been good to even out. Found staff to be attentive and food came out quickly - we were full well before our 2 hours were up.Overall would recommend.

Tasty grilled beef, not too pricy. There is an English menu too. I ate here 5 yrs ago but back then it was near BW hotel; this is a new location. Everything still brilliant just like before. I like the raw beef sushi, it is great with beer.

We serendipitously stumbled into this small restaurant on our last night of a quick trip to Osaka, and were warmly greeted and seated. We loved the tucked-away feeling of the booths, even when graciously relocated due to smoking patrons in the next booth. Once the menu and provenience of the beef was patiently explained, we set in to enjoy the delicate flavors, the coziness of the restaurant and our booth, and the attention we received at just the right times. We enjoyed the table service and the walk through Dotonburi to get there. Thank you Yoshi!

Managed to get a table at 7.30pm at this joint and chose the matsusaka special course for 5800¥ pp. Assorted appetizers, marbled beef sushi, short rib with leek and salt then the four different parts matsusaka beef with garlic rice ending with ice cream dessert. Cook your own meats, overall it was an enjoyable meal in traditional surroundings near the lively area of Dontonburi.

We were excited to dine again in the same concept of dining what we liked most in Tokyo, but it didn’t live up to our expectation. The only thing similar is that you are barbecuing the meat yourself, but other than that it’s so different. There is no set menu, you have to order one by one the meat, side dish, rice, etc and you get less portion and it cost more compared to the one we visited in Tokyo. The ambiance is also dull and not so welcoming.
