Reviews on Pizza food in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. Years of careful urban planning and meticulous restoration have rendered this former rum and molasses trading town one of the best places to live in the United States, star of an eponymous television show and a swell place to spend a weekend. Historic sites, wonderful museums and theaters seamlessly blend with newer attractions on the block including a modern mega-mall, scenic Riverwalk, outdoor skating arena, convention center, plus new hotels and restaurants. The Roger Williams Zoo, with its updated Tropical Rainforest Building where "spunky monkeys" roam free in a constructed jungle-like environment, remains one of the city's top attractions and offers hours of entertainment for children and adults alike. Wander back in time on Benefit Street, where eminent Federal period homes recall the city's wealthy past. For a modern experience, check out the more than 100 stores at Providence Place. Or tantalize your taste buds on "The Hill," a historic area that boasts many award- winning restaurants, from the Italian and Mediterranean cuisine for which "Little Italy" got its name, to Caribbean, Mexican, Chinese, seafood and baked goods. For a different perspective, take a romantic river cruise on an authentic Venetian gondola. No matter what your vantage point, Providence sparkles.

While they boast their catering and banquet facilities, they are open daily for buffet style lunch and pizza. I no know why they don't boast about this end of the business...would love to review it.

Being from NJ and having an Italian background my family is quite critical of Italian restaurants... My daughter will be attending JWU in the fall and while visiting we found this gem! The atmosphere was wonderful. There was a gentleman singing and other being right next to the speaker... it was perfect! Staff was kind, courteous and welcoming immediately! We started with an antipasto, calamari and eggplant rollatine - all fabulous! Dinner was as sensational as the appetizers. We did go on to try a cannoli and they too were fantastic. This will be our new restaurant away from home!!!

Years ago two weary travelers stumbled across a quaint village in the Sicilian Hills. The old innkeeper gave them a place to stay and put them to work serving wine and pizza to a clientele that spoke and dressed like they were from another century. But wh

Before we get into love, just know that Timmy's grilled pizzas are, indeed, legendary. We always get the spinach/mushroom/feta and we'll try another. The pasta with pink vodka sauce is also wonderful. The staff is upbeat, warm and attentive. Now, let's talk about love.We had our first date at Timmy's---that was 9.5 years ago! Aside from a few nights out of town because of work, we have been together constantly since that first night at Timmy's. We mentioned that to our lovely waitress on Sunday. She pointed out another couple with a similar story and told of other happy couples who all had first dates at Timmy's.Hmmmmm...there seems to be a pattern here. Maybe Timmy's pizza is the magic wand for love? Hey, it's worth a shot, right?

Really? After all the hype and reviews, we were told that one cannot leave Providence without visiting this restaurant. Thus, we looked forward to sampling the pizza from this long standing reputable establishment. What a disappointment!Frankly, I have had better frozen pizza from the supermarket. It tasted like doughy, tasteless undercooked pizza from the frozen food section! Tomato sauce with cheese that was the worst ever. The service was slow, it seemed like they forgot the order. When we took it home, it was undercooked. The quality and taste was so awful, that we threw most of it out. Do yourself a favour, try another establishment. There is a great wood-fired pizza joint just a few blocks away.

I brought two colleagues here from a nearby conference, with high expectations from prior reviews. Honestly, for the price, and compared with many other great restaurant options in the area, I wasn’t impressed. Service was very nice, but the food didn’t stand up. Salad was good, but my pizza was soggy, salty, and way overpriced. Won’t be back.

Whether or not the restaurants on Thayer St. are crowded, Flatbread Pizza Company is worth the extra block or so walk. The place has a very large inside dining area, and several tables outside. It was a very nice October Saturday, so my wife, daughter, granddaughter, and I chose to eat outside. Our server was friendly, courteous, and attentive. We ordered the large pepperoni and mushroom flatbread with a salad to share. Both were great. There was nothing left of either when we were through. Even the crust by itself was really good, this place knows how to do oven baked flatbread.

As I've mentioned before, I've been spoiled by being so close to New Haven Connecticut's famous pizza restaurants and the amazing pizza's they produce. If you like thin pizza, then Providence Coal Fired Pizza is for you. Our oval shaped meatball pie had the perfect amount of coal char on the bottom. It was really good. Very tasty. Definitely ranks high on the pizza we like list. I'm sure you will like it to.Finish your night off with the strawberry cheesecake or chocolate mousse and everything will be alright.Service at 8pm on a Thursday night was great. The noise level for the large open room wasn't bad either. Within walking distance to the arena, convention center and a few hotels. The night we dined free valet parking was offered.

Love the food; inventive choices and always a pleasant buzz (noisy to some). Tried some seasonal items; squash flowers are excellent, corn pizza a treat. Pasta dishes as always best in flavor in Providence. Wine and service were very good but the issue is the wait. I get it no reservations except for 6 or more so I’m prepared for a 60+ minute wait. It’s the lack of waiting area to enjoy a drink or 2. The bar is taken up with people eating NOT drinking leaving us “waiters” to search for a seat (there were none) or stand around in everyone’s way.So go with 6 or more or go at 5pm anything other is a torturous, uncomfortable wait not befitting such a great restaurant.
