The Pousada Mosteiro do Crato is located in the village of Flor da Rosa, county of Crato, in the middle of Alto Alentejo, 22 km from the city of Portalegre. It was built in the Mosteiro de Santa Maria de Flor da Rosa and is comprised of three distinct buildings: the Gothic-style church-fort, the Gothic castellated palace with alterations from the 1500's and the rest of the monastery grounds, in Moorish and Renaissance styles. This Monastery is one of the most emblematic works of the region and one of the most original Gothic buildings in Portugal. During your stay in this luxury hotel, enjoy the outdoor swimming pool with a sunny terrace perfect for sun bathing, relax at the Magic Spa and Jacuzzi or enjoy a meal at the restaurant. Reviewed By silviosY7573AUOur stay at Pousada Mosteiro dao Crato, was everything we were hoping for. Imagine wondering around portions of a medieval castle, that you can comftorably stay at. The room had a wonderful picture window looking out to the countryside. The food was great, and of course the staff's hospitality was second to none.

Great and quiet outdoor spaces but low quality bungalow
Reviewed By AndreAlvesPTAmazing vineyard where you can walk/cycle around, spot the deer family and visit their wine cellar. The hotel main building and pool are also beautiful but the bungalow was a let down. It is a prefabricated box (as used on construction sites) with a wooden cover and the interior stylized. The wallpapers were damaged, the wc floor squeezed and the cleaning was poor (dead fly all 4 days) and only the water was replaced. So it's better to choose a "regular" room.

This is a very welcoming house, which takes pride in its friendliness, comfort and refined details.
