The Prospector is like striking gold! The choices on the menu are almost endless. And the best part is the food tastes homemade. In this day of fast food, finding a place with homemade dishes is wonderful! Most recent visit was for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Had two eggs over easy, with crispy bacon, and toast - I realize it wasn't anything unusual - however - the eggs were delicious - tasted so fresh. Have been here for lunch - unusual offerings - chicken salad, sourdough bread, homemade pies for desserts. yummm. If you want to remember how good food used to be, stop in!

Arrived in Batavia a bit late, so went looking for a place to eat. Saw this local place and decided to give it a try. Seemed like a generic local restaurant in a small town, and to some degree, this was an accurate assessment.Decide to try one of the burgers for dinner and the food was good, unfortunately, the service was underwhelming. The server seemed to have time to talk with the locals, yet had a difficult time checking up on me while I was there. Several times I had to wait for a refill. It is possible that they were understaffed, as I did see a help wanted sign on the door.

Went to Settlers with seven family members and everyone really enjoyed their food. We all had something different and from mac and cheese to burgers and steak sandwich everything was DELICIOUS.Thank you!

Great service, our waitress was awesome. She had so much energy, and was always smiling. Food was perfect, big portions, meets and exceeds diner expectations.Note-they do not accept credit cards, cash only.Definitely stop in here when visiting Darien Lakes State Park, the Amphitheater or the amusement park.

Stopped in on a rainy Sunday for lunch. Friendly staff and typical country diner decor. The chicken cordon blue was okay but a little dull. The chicken ala King needed spice. Cheap place to eat.

Staff very polite professional and it's snowing outside so was a good idea to stop and eat before going on the highway again. And yes it's looks as good as it tastes very good enjoyed throughly.As the rule is you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and that goes for a lot of things.
