Canceled but still charged
Reviewed By VisitespanaI made a refundable reservation. 3 weeks before we were scheduled to leave my son’s girlfriend got COVID so we didn’t make the trip. On Jan 30, I sent 3 messages to the hotel to cancel. They never responded. (Two emails from my private email and 1 via the portal on their website). My credit card was charged on Feb. 23rd. I have sent several emails via my email and through the portal on their website. I have not received any response. Please don’t book this hotel.

Cortijo Carrillo is a classic Andalusian country estate with more than 100 years of history set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with views of mountains and olive groves. It was restored in 1996 and has recently been updated. Bed and breakfast accommodation has been offered here since 2001. We have 5 en-suite rooms with double beds, one with its own private living room and 3 en-suite twin rooms. As our guests you will enjoy the spacious outdoor areas with typical Andalusian courtyards and two living rooms where you will find books, games and TV. There is complimentary coffee and tea to help you relax and enjoy your visit to this area. Our breakfasts are prepared with high quality local ingredients and products. Dinner can be prepared upon request. Cortijo Carrillo is well situated to visit almost every tourist attraction in Andalusia 35 minutes by car to Malaga ( where you will find the Picasso Museum, Rebello de Toro Museum....Costa del Sol beaches, shops...) 45 minutes by car to Granada ( with its spectacular Alhambra, Albaizin, museums, the Sierra Nevada, Costa Tropical beaches...) 55 minutes by car to Cordoba (where you can visit the amazing Mezquita, typical houses with courtyards and flowers, Julio Romero de Torres Museum...Sierra Morena and beautiful mountain villages..) 90 minutes by car to Seville (where the mix of Gothic, Mudéjar, Renaissance and Modern architecture is dazzling...La Giralda, La Catedral, Torre del Oro, countless museums...)
Truly peaceful location, rustic old house, lovely pool
Reviewed By LilactlilacLovely old farm house and buildings with thick walls and small windows. Extensive breakfast with lots of homemade jams, hams and cheeses, delicious lemonade and coffee. The pool is reached by a gravel area between the house and horses and was clean and very relaxing. Our host spoke super English, having spent some time in the UK. Only one night for use on our road-trip but would visit again!

Se suple esto con el trato que da el personal y la limpieza que se nota en cualquier esquina. Muy comodo por contar debajo con restaurante abierto desde las 5 de la mañana hasta las 11 de la noche con comida buena a buen precio.El parking es gratuito y esta delante y al costado del hostal

Good friendly hotel with good food
Reviewed By olivegemWe came across this place in a youtube video about Antequera, given reasonable price we booked the room with balcony for a night during our trip in the region. It is a converted old building, retaining character. Room was clean, basic,but comfortable with tea (no sugar for some reason) and apples with free bottled water. Shower was small but in good order and clean.Wooden shutters closed well providing insulation and aircon was capable for heating the room up.Night was quiet. Bed was firm and comfortable. There is no TV, we didnt need or wanted one anyway, but in case it is a "must have" for some reason for someone reading this, so to note. Greeting was friendly and good. Car parking is close at a multi-storey and costs 16 euros a day, with the car park ticket you can access to viewing terrace at the top of the car park. We had tapas and wine downstairs at the tapas bar, there is also a restaurant more or less same food but pricey. Tapas are not available at the restaurant section, as our objective was to sample a variety of food on offer we went to the bar area. We were served by a pleasant young lady and owners (from the video) was also there serving very polite and friendly.Food was Excellent, and we do like our food - as well as typical tapas,they also have chestnut stew etc authentic stuff. Prices in the tapas bar are reasonable, (we couldnt work out why restaurant part is in-proportionately expensive) wine selection is rich and good wines starts from 15-16 Euros a bottle. Overall, if we are in the area again we would stay there and eat there again.
