I was a huge fan of Sushyia which was located downtown Kalamazoo. I was told the same kitchen manger and chief now run this place. I was so excited to visit and try the new items and new menu. To my surprise it was all bad. No one of my party of 5 enjoyed their meal. It was all bad, the rolls where bad, chicken bibimbop, chicken teriyaki and veggie dish. No one at the table cares to come back. In fact for the price you might as well go elsewhere. I really wanted to like everything l, I really wanted this to be my new favorite place. The best part was waiting staff as they didnât charge me for my crappy tasting rolls with no flavor. I would not recommend this place to anyone or ever return. This is sad because I wish them the best.

The family running this does a great job with service, but the food was one of the worst Chinese foods I've had. We had multiple dishes as a family and all of us were disappointed. The Wonton Soup was ok, but for some reason tastes like cinnamon.

Great restaurant for a wide variety of terrific food including Asian, Thai, sushi, and much more. Relaxed and interesting ambiance that provides for a wonderful meal.Service was excellent and servers were very friendly.Prices were reasonable but a bit high.Excellent overall experience.

My friends always recommend other Sushi places but I am quick to recommend Kumo. I have never walked away unsatisfied. The sushi is always fresh and the service is what I'd expect at this type of restaurant. I'm not as impressed with the Hibachi though but then again I am not a hibachi person.

I have never gone wrong with this Thai Restaurant. The food is extremely fresh, light (should one wish this), and flavorful and lots of it - I finish it every time. Since they are a family-run business, they are personable and friendly. Best Thai place in town.

Stopped here for lunch. I knew their tomato basil soup would warm me up. I also got the 3 pot stickers and flatbread. I came steaming hot and so full of flavor. The pot stickers are a little greasy.

Pros: The creamy ginger salad dressing is DIVINE and the staff are very friendlyCons: They charge $2.25 extra per person for fried rice -I've seen Hibachi charge extra for udon noodles, but fried rice is pretty standard in a show that fries everything. Altogether, it was a little pricey, Sunday lunch for 4 was around $95 with tip. Also, the chicken was a little dry. All in all, it was good -but we probably won't be back. The show wasn't too extravagant compared to other Hibachi, but I was actually cool with that because I find them awkward. Side note: the steamed rice wasn't bad at all! I usually cover everything in ginger and yum-yum sauce anyway -if you go, try steamed rice and save yourself the $2.25.

Love this place!! We drive out of our way 1/2 hour just to eat here. We have tried almost all the rolls, but our favorites are Marlboro & Portage. We always split a Kani Salad. Leo & Ada are so nice, always takes a second for a smile & to say hi.
