The sushi was very good to excellent and came with soup and salad but cost $19.00 plus tax and tip. This may be normal for the San Francisco suburb but struck me as just a bit high. The beer was served nice and cold. The service was very prompt but not overly warm. There was free parking at the garage that is part of the complex!Overall the dining experience was very good and I recommend this restaurant.

A friend and I went in a few weeks ago for dinner. It was nearly empty and we were seated right by the entrance to the kitchen door. We kindly asked to be seated somewhere else since the restaurant was practically ours for the taking! (We also noticed an overwhelming smell of cleaning solution throughout our meal, not pleasant.) The food was average and it was rather annoying because we were never able to get a refill on our beverage. Needless to say, we did not linger. We won't go back, the food was fine but the service was lousy.

I went here for the second time on August 19, 2015 to meet a business associate, who lived nearby in the Westlake area of Daly City. My experience during the first visit was not an impressive one. The chicken kara-age was dry, the beef teriyaki on the bento box was overcooked or of low quality meat and the agedashi tofu was disappointing. But I thought of giving this "spiraling-down" restaurant a second try and check out their ramen and also to inquire about their private room. But unfortunately, the "second chance" did not materialize. There were 2 of us and came in at a little past 12 noon. The place was 2/3 empty. I asked if we could be seated at a larger table since the "2-seater" was very small, and there were plenty of available tables. The lady receptionist was not too welcoming and almost hostile. She told me that those bigger tables were for 4 people. I looked around and saw 2 couples; and each couple was seated at those larger tables. So my question - in my mind - was: "how come we could not be accorded the same treatment?" I did not press the issue; looked around and left the place without uttering a word. Bad food, Bad service.... it would be a loooong time before we go back to this place, if at all!

I used to love this place, till i found out "ELENOR" the waitress is a thief...Came here december 18 to introduce my friends to my favorite place to eat, i guess that was their first and our last time at this place, thanks to Elenor, she changed her tip by adding a few extra dollars to herself, good move! SERVICE SUCKS at this place, called them about the overcharge, did they do anything about it? NOPE! so called my credit card company, and got my money back... i was actually surprised to see this on their website"Management: *Ferdinand U.[--]" so i emailed him, till now, no answer...Good job Kamameshi! i'd rather take my business elsewhere...

FOOD: If youâre looking for authentic traditional Japanese cuisine, this may not be the right place for you. But if you like creative, scrumptious, and reasonably priced sushi, give this place a try. We particularly enjoyed the lion king roll, the dynamite roll, and the scorpion roll. Also, the yuzu chicken wings were fantastic.SERVICE: Service was simply superb. The chef presented each dish with enthusiasm and thoughtfully explained its composition in great detail. Itâs evident that heâs passionate about his craft and deeply committed to pleasing the customers.PRICE: Our bill averaged out to around $26 per person.

A dozen of us celebrated a little one's first birthday at this excellent emporium of edible Asian specialties. All the food was visually beautiful, but particularly the sushi and dim sum items. We enjoyed making a circuit of the buffet bars to inspect offerings before committing to choices on the plate.

I had some misgivings about this place when I agreed to come with a bunch of my wife's friends for lunch. This is a huge place that easily accommodated our group of 10 people. The food is all served buffet style, and the selection has to be seen to be believed. We started with sushi and some dim sum dumplings before moving on to shrimp (several different kinds), chicken (ditto), and noodles (ditto again). You get the picture.Frankly, I found most of the dishes mediocre. The pot stickers, for example, were doughy and suffered from sitting around on the steam table. This is a very popular place for lunch, particularly among the elder component of the population. Lots of gray hair. The table service, consisting of water, tea, and cleanup, was superb. I discovered more tea in my cup without asking and wondered when that happened. The price of this feast is certainly reasonable. Each share came to $18, complete with tip, after rounding up. Not bad for enough to last for quite a while. So long as you know what to expect, you'll enjoy this place.
