Soilen Restaurant

Søilen Restaurant, we are proud of our history back to 1950s. It is the oldest restaurant in Mo i Rana city. The restaurant offers a bistro menu with small dishes, lunch, main dishes and dessert. Please try our famous "Grillet tørrfisk fra Halvors".

We had a nice dinner at this restaurant. The food was good and presentation was thought out. Everything was fresh and seemed to be prepared in the restaurant. They pride on using only the local ingredients.I would rate this restaurant as very good, but the price was quite high even by Norwegian standards. I usually expect some more creativity for this price, but to be honest, the food was basic, but very good and this is one of the best meals we've had in Northern Norway.

Got the moose/elk-dish and the moose/elk-meat was burnt and the vegetablas was premade (frozen and then boiled) and overdone. This roadside restaurant is quite popular in Mo i Rana and I have been there several times, but the food is getting worse for each time I`m in. Not sure if I will come back.

I live in Mo I Rana and Milano has since they started been me and my family go to places since they started. Been here way to many times for my fingers to count but most of my experiences here have been just great.I've decided to remove one star because some of the staff is not as welcoming as I expect on a resturant but there are a few select people that work there that makes the experience just one of the best one can have at a mid tier resturant like Milano. Also their toilet is not the cleanest at times. My favorite meal to order here has to be one of their steaks, eather pepper steak or the four seasons are but excelent choices, but with that said it's hard to go wrong on any of their meals. If you are ever in Mo I Rana and looking for a nice place to enjoy a good meal then this is the place to go for sure!

Three of had a great dinner at No 3. We had soup for starters, two has the delicious northern Norwegian fish soup and one had the artichoke soup. Both were excellent. For mains, two has the cod and one had the grilled dry fish. The dry fish smelled somewhat like a salted cod, but the flavour was mild and did not have a strong salty taste. Both cod dishes were cooked to perfection, moist not dried out. Either dish is recommended. Prices are typical for fine dining in Norway. Worth a visit!
