I went to Le Duguesclin with two French colleagues, who knows something in French food.. we all had fantastic long evening, with generous, delicious starters, mains, cheese and desert. The wine list is relatively short and the wine we chose was very good. The chef takes his gob very seriously and when my fondant came out, he left the kitchen to apology that it bursted prematurely and not while i was poking it with my spoon...the place is not big, it is cozy and an old fire place and arc shaped ceiling gives a romantic appearance to it.If you are spending a night or two in Clermont Ferrand, make sure you eat here!

We stayed in a nearby hotel, and after walking around the area to choose a restaurant we decided to come here. We were not disappointed! Very comfortable, clean and tidy with very sociable waitresses. They have a two course menu for 20.50 euros and the three course for 23.50 euros, with the choice from the full menu. We both had the lamb shank with pureed potato and green beans which was delicious, followed by the brioche perdue wit ice cream. The wine menu offers an excellent selection at reasonable prices.We intend to visit again in the future.
