Did not have chance to book a table but we were able to dine anyway since the restaurant wasn´t full. Customers started coming later at night just when we were almost done with the food. Food was good, large servings. Service was good. Parking spaces with pay.

In December, almost all restaurants in Norway prefers to serve the traditional Christmas buffet.This menu is ok once in a week, but not every day during a business trip!Thus, here at Strom Mat & Bar they offer alternatives and their entrecote accompanied with a Bordeaux St. Emilion Grand Cru 2012; Chateau de la Cour (at a reasonable price - to be in Norway!) Waiting to be served the main dish we were offered local bread from 'Harmoni HÃ¥ndverksbakeri AS' (Porsgrunn) - really cruncy, tasty, excellent together with a cheese (sorry, forgot the name).We really enjoyed it! Not to mention the nice view over the lake directly outside their windows. As we were blessed with a snowfall during our dinner increased the feeling of 'value for money'!We'll be back!The story is now spread across Europe!

Itâs cleen and smells good when you arrive. I have tasted four of the lunches. All so good. Good bread. Soo tasty and it looks so nice no the plate. The beef sandwich is just WOW.

Karjolen Pub is a place where everything is in order. The place is clean, including the toilets, and the people behind the bar knows what they are doing. Which is not at all what you can expect everywhere in Norway.They don't have too much beer on tap, even though they normally do have more than other pubs in the area - but they do have a seøection of bottled beer in the fridges. And among them you will probably find something you like.Thus is a pub where you don't have to see football or other stuff on a screaming TV. Here there is no music either - this is a place to meet and talk to friends.They do, however, have some live music some times in the weekend.Some times you can buy some food as well. Pub-Grub is ok :)All in all - this is probably the best pub in the city in the moment

Rather modern and film noir like in style. Quick and friendly service. I ate the lasagna, but for me it was rather boring in taste. The meat and pasta was meshed together like porridge and I missed more spicy taste. The cheese on top was also rather creamy I like it more crispy.If you will have a family dinner and the kids are skeptic to foreign flavors this is the place. But for me I find the same taste and type of lasagna in the deep frozen departement at my local store.Thank you for taking your valuable time to write a review of our restaurant. I am sorry to hear that the Lasagna did not quite fit your taste. Our lasagna is made at our kitchen from scratch, and we make the lasagna child friendly and as a traditional lasagna. However we have several other dishes. Try our mussels, Blue cheese burger or Spinach and smoked salmon pie. They have more complex tastes and spices.

I've been here a couple of times because of its vicinity to VIC hotel. Bar scene is very good with a good selection of beers. Food is also decent.
