It is the principal city of and is included in the Goldsboro, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. The nearby town of Waynesboro was founded in 1787 and Goldsboro was incorporated in 1847. It is the county seat of Wayne County. The city is situated in North Carolina's Coastal Plain and is bordered on the south by the Neuse River and the west by the Little River, about 43 miles southwest of Greenville and 55 miles southeast of Raleigh, the state capital and 87 miles northwest of Wilmington in Southeastern North Carolina. Goldsboro is best known as home to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Four of us ate dinner here. We began with a very well prepared spinach/artichoke dip with warm pita points. Three of us had the amazingly flavorful shepherd's pie (wow, was it good!). The small size is actually plenty of food, too. One had a deli sandwich, and he liked it. Guinnesses all around! We ended with good NY style cheesecake slices. The restaurant needs to be cleaner (our table was sticky) and is in serious need of renovation inside. There is a small patio area out front with tables and chairs, too. Service was very bad; not enough servers, and they were preoccupied with friends.

Ordered dinner through one of the third party vendors and had it delivered to my hotel.Tried the Mac and Cheese with Brisket...and it was very good. Brisket was well seasoned and plenty of portions of the same. Mac and Cheese was creamy. Potato chips that came with a sandwich were overcooked, lack flavor, and by the time they were delivered, "soggy." I'd pass on them.Steak and cheese sandwich had too many onions on it. Would try again for the Mac and Cheese.

They have great food since moving to the new place (old Snack 'n Cue)!!! They do karaoke some nights, have pool tables and an enclosed outdoor smoking area. A great place to go have a cold one. And Ms. Wanda is awesome!

A friend and I had lunch here. We arrived at 12:00 p.m. We were seated at our table and was told our server would be with us shortly. She arrived, took our drink order, then returned to take our food order. Everything went well until I dropped my money under the table. As I bent down to pick it up, I noticed there was a knife on the floor. Asked my friend if she had dropped it and she said no, which was true because there were two on the table. Considering the time we were there, it had to have been there from the night before along with the food that was under there too. Please clean thoroughly!

Are you in Goldsboro, NC? Go here!The indoor seating area is not big, but there's a huge patio area.Brewmasters has a huge beer selection. There are 20 or something beers on tap. All different kinds. In case you are not happy with that, most of the room is shelved with beer.

The Laughing Owl is completely fun, taste good food and hundreds of beers to choose from. There was an excellent variety of foods and all three of us choose differently from Hawaiian chicken to shrimp and steak! Excellent! Waitress was n awesome server.

Jay's hosted a dinner for a business meeting that I attended in Goldsboro. Anythingk with both Sushi and Burgers in the title should get your attention! They provided some yummy appetizers, and very nice sushi rolls. The hamburger was fresh and flavorful featuring bacon, and a sunny side up egg, seemed like an odd combination, but it really worked! They also have a very nice beer selection.
