It is the principal city of and is included in the Goldsboro, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. The nearby town of Waynesboro was founded in 1787 and Goldsboro was incorporated in 1847. It is the county seat of Wayne County. The city is situated in North Carolina's Coastal Plain and is bordered on the south by the Neuse River and the west by the Little River, about 43 miles southwest of Greenville and 55 miles southeast of Raleigh, the state capital and 87 miles northwest of Wilmington in Southeastern North Carolina. Goldsboro is best known as home to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Got the blooming onion- there was so much salt we couldnât eat it. Then, our hamburgers, we noticed before eating, were very âseasonedâ in appearance- super salty tasting. I like salt but this was really pretty awful. Weâve tried Outback twice- once two years ago. We were reluctant to try it again because the food was so salty. We figured maybe it was a mistake in the kitchen, and tried again this week. Same thing- way over salted. Never again.

What can I say? Western Sizzlin offers the best deal in town if you're hungry for a steak but don't want to spend a bunch of money and don't care about fancy surroundings. They had a special going on...an 11oz sirloin, side (like baked potato, French fries, etc.) and Texas toast for less than $11. All four of us ordered this special. We were all very happy with our meals. My steak was prepared perfectly and was very tender. It wasn't overly seasoned but had a nice flavor.Didn't get the buffet (you can get that on its own for around $9 or as an add-on to your meal for around $4), but it looked very good! I might get that next time! There's a huge salad bar and choices like fried chicken and various vegetables.Even if you don't get the buffet, you can use the potato bar to load up your baked potato (if you choose a baked potato as your side) with cheese, butter, sour cream, bacon bits, chives, etc. Bread pudding and ice cream are also available off the buffet as a part of your meal.Our service was also on point. Our server kept our drinks full, cleared the table of empty plates and was generally very friendly. I definitely recommend this place.

Even with familial disturbances in the meal, our waiter was effortless! The shrimp and grits were devine. The toddler devoured the breakfast board, and our relations relations reported satisfaction with the offerings. Only thing I would appreciate is a breakfast board of breads/butter to keep us distracted from interacting. Lol.

My daughter frequently asks to go to Fuji because it is relatively healthy compared to many restaurants in Goldsboro. Essentially there are a couple of food choices. Steak or Chicken or Shrimp or a combination of them, served one of two ways- grilled with teriyaki sauce or grilled without teriyaki sauce. We have always chosen the chicken and been very pleased. The first time you go to Fuji can be a little confusing. The meal, which averages around $8 per person, includes a bowl of broth, a salad, then the entree ( hibachi or teriyaki), served with vegetables and lightly fried rice. My teenage boys are happy with the ample portions. There are two sauces that are served with the meal- a ginger sauce and a white sauce, which seems very similar to mayo. Ask for them on the side if it is your first time, so you can sample them. The waitstaff will happily bring more of whichever you prefer. We generally really are pleased when we've eaten at Fuji. We don't feel stuffed because the food isn't fatty like many other restaurants in Goldsboro. Recommended.

Tried Aggies Grill, which seems related to Aggies Steak Sub. This place was located on Cashwell, between Spence and Berkeley. What a strange place. Part take out, part sit down restaurant, part cheesesteak part Chinese food, and, oh by the way, would you like a purse or some earrings with those fries? Two televisions were on, next to each other, each on a different channel. As we sat waiting for our food ( we foolishly chose dine in), we noticed we were the only customers. We asked the waitress what she recommended and she replied, " I don't know. I'm not hungry." Weird. Food wasn't bad, but the repeated awkward interactions with the waitress seemed as out of place as the large purses we had to walk around to get to our table. Probably won't return.

You probably should take it as a warning, when you order a filet and the first thing you're asked is can we butterfly it so it cooks quicker...we said no as we expect a thick juicy steak when ordering a filet...well when we got our order, it was only half an inch thick and maybe 3-4 oz and well done, very dry..had ordered medium..6 oz...the baked potato was also dried out..we were here at 11:30 so they must have been reheated from the night before...the waitress never smiled, felt as if we were a burden that she really did not want to be there. Maybe she had a major problem in her life...so will just say she was a sad person...I ate here years ago and thought it was very good. We moved and just happened to be in the area so we stopped in.....

The food was decent but oh my! The place was so smelly from the old carpet or mold or both that I felt disgusted to sit and eat there. Funeral home or haunted house atmosphere would be appropriate description.. I personally like to support family owned places especially when the owner is so nice but this place really needs some work all over to be done. Carpet was bad, moldy odor all over the place,furniture, decoration, dark tunnel like rooms, curtains, needs to be painted..I know that it might be expensive to remodel and decorate the whole place but at least the new carpet and fresh paint would help a lot..

In a world of "serlion steak houses" (nothing tougher on a cow other than its hoof) its good be be able to order another cut of beef...Place is ok but you want a good sreak...Go to Harris Teeter and cook it at home...most restaurant s these days are just frozen fast food...Its the franchise world we live in today...No restaurant good as you can make at home...Used to be the other way around...

This is a restaurant called a roadhouse; make sure if you're going there, you're prepared for the noise, close quarters, and, well, the noise (I'll mention it twice). Also, a little bit of chaos with seating. But if you set your expectations, you will be pleasantly surprised at the proteins, sides, and even a good side salad. We always get the steaks, veggies on the side, and a side salad.

You will miss the place in a blink if you do not look carefully. This little restaurant is open for lunch only on Fridays. Their hamburgers are delicious. The beef is grinded at the restaurant!!!! Service is quick and friendly. Price is right for the quality. Definitely a place to try for lunch.Dinner is amazing. Their steaks are cooked to perfection and potatoes are my favorite. perfect for a date night or special occasion. A must try in Goldsboro,
