Top 6 Steakhouse food in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

August 14, 2019 Tynisha Seiler

Reviews on Steakhouse food in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Melbourne is proud of its neighborhood precincts, each offering a unique cultural experience. No other city in Australia has such clearly defined areas. This could be because Melbournians are both worldly in their outlook yet tribal in their local loyalties – as seen in the fanatical support for their local AFL football clubs. Here history is cared for and exemplified in the originality of diverse neighborhoods – each has a unique face but all of them will greet you with a smile.

Relaxed but special service and atmosphere. The food was faultless, even the cauliflower gratin- with smoky cheese and jalapenos. The scallop entree was perfectly cooked. Great steak, chips with fabulous sauces to follow. Wine was perfect. We expected the focus to be on the steak but everything else was as good.Hi Tiina,Thanks for your feedback and review. On a trip to Melbourne from Sydney we ordered two rump steaks and a broccolini to share - The rump steak was the cheapest thing on the menu ($25) yet was still high quality and delicious. It was one of the best rumps I’ve ever had and would defiantly be returning the next time I am in Melbourne. Service was great, ambiance was good and the location is a bit hidden, but easy to find when you pop it into the maps. Hi review-alour,Thanks for your feedback and review. So glad that you could dine with us on your trip to Melbourne. It is nice to read all these compliments as we do pride ourselves on quality with food and service, and I am glad that you received this.ThanksChrissy SRare Steakhouse

We have waited ages to return and now know why. Beautiful ambiance, friendly, warm and professional French staff. Delicious food and as you would expect a great wine list. This really like being back in Paris for us. We shared the charcuterie platter (note the Chicken Liver pate was sublime). I went for the lamb special while the man did the beef. We unashamedly shared the pear tarte tatin and a lovely dessert wine. Could not have been happier

I really had a good moment having dinner here. The dining place was well decorated, comfortable, with a fireplace on one side. This place is suitable for couples as well as family with young children as they provide kids menu. The steak quality was great, but I would recommend to try various side dishes. They were all taste awesomely delicious. The mac and cheese reminded me of my childhood macaroni dish at home. The truffle mushroom was amazing as well. The staffs were knowledgeable, work efficiently, and friendly. Reservation is strongly suggested, and I would totally recommend this place to others.

La Luna Bistro

Reviewed By MICMIK1

We’ve been a fans of Adrian Richardson from way back. So it’s only logical that we were keen to taste his food for long time. The only reason being that La Luna is a rather pricey restaurant. However, our wish came true when recently we visited with family for a special occasion. All we can say is that it turned out to be a great experience and surpassed all expectations. Fantastic food and service. My reaction when I faced my 330g medium/rare Porterhouse was, OMG, I’ll never be able to eat all that...surprise, surprise, once I took a bite, just couldn’t stop...it was to die for! And so it goes for everyone around the table. And then, it was dessert time... the taster plate was definitely a blast with other family members. My Affogato topped with a gorgeous French pear liqueur was just Devine. Expensive? Yes! But who’s complaining? Many thanks Adrian and staff for an unforgettable night. Keep up the good work! Thanks Lovely it was our pleasure
