Nice clean accommodation
Reviewed By Jon BThis is a nice residence. The welcome was warm, the appartment spotlessly clean and very well supplied with everything you would need for a short stay. The balconies have a great south facing view of the the mountains ans ski runs. Just a short walk down into town for the many bars and restaurants. Comfy beds too.

The resort is located on the western side of Tourmalet, the largest ski area of the French Pyrenees. A dynamic resort at the foot of ski slopes. A recent residence with indoor heated swimming pool.
Dirty and very tired apartment.
Reviewed By EstwynnWe loved to area but sadly the accommodation was awful. Firstly it was very dirty, clearly it was cleaned in a rush if at all. Beds were very uncomfortable, pillows provided smelt awful, we requested them to be changed but was told there would be a charge! The shower/bath leaked into the bedroom soaking the floor and contents on the floor in the wardrobe. The plastic furniture on the balcony was broken. The swimming pool changing room floor was slimy and covered in hair! Very disappointing. I would return to the area but not these apartments.

Reviewed By timvineJust returned home from a 4 night ski trip at La Mongie with my 8 yr old son. I was a little apprehensive about the hotel, based on mixed reviews over the last couple of years. But we were pleasantly surprised; sure, the decor is definitely stuck in the 70s and some of the communal areas (stairs, landings, ski locker) are a bit tired. However the rooms are fine, beds are very comfy, linen is clean and new and the bathrooms have had new taps and shower fittings fairly recently. For the price (£100 a night during half term ski season), it was absolutely value for money. Just a few steps from the slopes, decent breakfast, underground parking (€15 a night) and welcoming staff. I would stay here again, and will definitely come back to La Mongie.

Reviewed By José GVery reduced rooms. The shower is uncomfortable without Wall bracket and no bath curtains. Incredible for a hotel¡¡ the room cleaning is worse than expected. Sometimes the isles are noisy at nights. Heating is good. Elevators are very small and difficult to move the luggage. The staff attitude is almost ok. Breakfast acceptable, but boiled ham, fried eggs and bacon are necessary for a 3 star mountain hotel, at least during skiing season. Expensive. The third star is not findable. Best things are the location ( very close to the skiing slopes) and the commercial area in the same building for rental equipment, and many restaurants, bars and certain shops to enjoy after the journey and recuperate for the next day.
