Wildflower Cafe

McCarty's Wildflower Café offers a large selection of breakfast options. I did not notice any breakfast specials. Our party had the California Cobb Omelet ($8.75) which I personally enjoyed. The portion size was adequate in the Goldilocks zone. The Blueberry Pancakes ($5.50) may have been the star of the meal. They were fluffy and loaded with blueberries. I thought the side of bacon ($3.50) was overpriced. The French Toast at ($8.00) was chewy. The coffee ($2.50) was good and the waitress refilled or coffee and creamers several times. The young lady was efficient and courteous and checked on us often. The restaurant seems like a mom and pop run business although I do not know that to be the case. The interior is one room, intimate, casual and unpretentious. They have a bar area which serves alcohol and an outdoor seating area. The private parking area is small and can be difficult to navigate when almost full. The parking lot was full when we visited and seems to be a favorite among locals which is a good sign.

BLunch Restaurant

My wife and I visited BLunch for the first time and our initial impression was how cute and quaint the restaurant is.We are both fans of the mom and pop establishments so the vibe is perfect. We started out with a quality cup of joe. They have really good coffee. My wife got the pancake flight and I got the breakfast garage plate. Both dishes were great. Way more food than either of us anticipated. Very delicious. The pancakes were light and airy how we both enjoy them and the breakfast garage plate has their famous "Mr. Whitesnakes Sexy Sauce" which has a sweet, smoky, spice to it that adds to the layers of flavor. The garage plate includes breakfast potatoes, sweet potato, egg, chorizo, and bacon. Service was great as everyone was very friendly. Only thing worth noting is how small this establishment is so I would suggest try going during the week.Enjoy!

We live nearby but made our first visit only recently and came away disappointed. The small space is charming, and the hostess (owner?) was enthusiastic and welcoming. We picked our food on the hostess’s recommendations. My burrito, containing the chili she raved about, was large, dry, cold and tasteless. The taste of chili was not evident, although there were some small lumps of ground meat. My spouse’s omelet was beautifully presented but, also, was less than lukewarm. He rated the taste average at best. It’s hard to figure why the meals were cold, as we were the only people being served food at the time. It does not look like this will be a go to neighborhood spot for us.

We stopped for dinner about 8pm on a Saturday after an Ohio State football game. No crowd at all but we saw a *lot* of carryout pizza orders get picked up. Must be good ‘za! We split an Italian Deli Panini. Bread was a lot thicker than we expected and it was pretty light on fillings. Da wife enjoyed her side salad. My Wedding Soup had great promise but came out cold. I took it back up and it came back steaming. But they don’t have any hot sauce. I’ve never seen a place without at least Tabasco!?!?! They make their own potato chips which are very, very good! They have an attached gelato bar with a lot of choices. Da wife loved her peanut butter chocolate one!Go! Try it! I’d go back to try the pizza!

Very "intimate" and excellent alternative natural foods establishment in a small strip center along a north-south artery parallel to I-71 north of OSU campus. Many raw food as well as cooked options. I had the vegetable curry soup, she had chilled broccoli/almond soup, we shared an appetizer guacamole with chips. Check out the regular menu as well as daily specials.
