I understand itâs a huge day for these types of venues but the total lack of organisation, pre-planning and lack of staff was terrible. The below pales into insignificance given what ANZAC Day is truly about but I wanted to share the experience nonetheless.The line up at the bar went all the way outside both doors of the main 2 bars, with wait times of around 40 minutes to be served. They had 2 other bars that did not open at all that could have easily assisted with this- simply could have had tap beers and soft drink being served in the main bars, and packaged beers served at the other 2. Then there was the no eftpos policy which made for a third line at the ATM that went out the door also. To top the lack of organisation off they didnât have enough jugs to serve everyone, it was a mystery when you got up there. There were a heap of jugs sitting unused on the tables outside but no staff to collect them. Then they had buckets of beers as a back up option, but didnât have these unwrapped, or prefilled with ice. The selection of beers they offered were a joke, pushing their own Coles/Liquorland brand of beer âLorryboysâ only and 2 other Mexican beers (Corona and another exactly like it).So when we finally got served we asked for jugs and the staff member shot off to try and find some. After 5 minutes and him telling us theyâd be warm out of the dishwasher and waiting for it to finish itâs cycle, he then advised thereâs none in there so weâd have to have something else. We asked for 3 buckets of Carlton Dry (to avoid lining up again) and in one of the only positive interactions of the day he offered them at the bucket price.Then we go outside and back to our table to find our families sitting in the rain that had started falling. The issue is there were not enough tables seated under umbrellas or cover so it become The Hunger Games with people scrambling for shelter. The major issue I have here is that only half the tables had umbrellas in them. This is a Coles owned pub and they couldnât spring for umbrellas on every table?!?!Common courtesy also had died with a number of smaller families taking up 2 tables and spreading across them while others were rained on. So by the time the rain stopped our soaking wet family used towels to dry off and sit in the combination of drizzle and hot sun patches that came through. We did have the base of an umbrella under the table which was great for kicking your toe on. We couldnât even leave because we now had 12 opened beers and 4 opened cans of soft drink (couldnât even get Coke or Zero!).The band that were playing were average and had their volume up way too loud. Iâm not an old neighbour complaining about a bit of noise here l mean it, it was ridiculously loud! Given they werenât great it was a relief every time they took a break. The motorcycle club seemed to love them though so clearly they were there to appease them which is ok. Not great for Joe Public and family though (some swearing and inappropriate songs sung).Food took around an hour after a huge line again with the garlic bread that was meant to come out after 15minutes turning up 5 minutes before the mains. Which were split in 2 arrival times 15 minutes apart. Most of the food was ok with the exception of the Buffalo Wings. They were smothered in some form of orange concoction and were stone cold. We mentioned it to a staff member who just took them never to be seen again.There was then a fight between a husband and wife that broke out, with the one security guard on duty obviously hearing about it and choosing to ignore it, while some of the husbands nearby stepping in to ensure the wife was ok and offering the husband some verbal suggestions.All in all the day was a complete debacle due to some extremely poor management at a pub that is in desperate need of renovations. A beautiful back deck over looking the river would easily increase local attendance, but bigger issues need to be resolved around management first.

I took my grandmother and her friends for lunch for her birthday. Everyone at the table was completely impressed with their meals. Highly recommend the creme brûlée! My grandmother really enjoyed her birthday lunch and was so impressed with the service. She loved the special Brandy Alexander cocktail made especially for her. She said it brought back some great memories. Well done ladybird. Highly recommend.

I attended the trivia night at two friends last night and absolutely loved my experience. There was amazing service especially by our waitress Mia, who was always coming and checking on us all. Overall was such a fun night and we'll definitely be back.Very pleased you enjoyed the night. Trivia is one of our special nights, always guaranteed good banter, laughter and controversy . Add to that superb food and great service what more can you ask. Thank you for kind words and yes Mia is our âlittle pocket rocketâ a valuable part of our family.

A group of10 of us went to Dublin Docks for dinner last night. Whilst the place was busy and the queues very long, the service could do with another person on to assist. Once the order was placed the meals came quickly. Well the wait was worth it as the food was delicious. the steaks superb and the snapper beautiful. This place is great. The staff were very friendly, I watched the way they interacted with little kids and they were really good. The meals themselves were really nice, the steak was cooked perfectly. The pork cutlet was huuuuge and thick. Good value burger and drink meal.Kids area had little arcade games for free and tv with kids movies on.If ever in that area again, would highly recommend. It was quiet when we arrived early but was packed when we left which proves how good the place is!

Last minute decision for a bite for lunch. Have eaten here before and the food is usually nice. Unfortunately my steak today was far from what I wanted. Asked for medium, clearly did not get medium. Very well done and dry. Might try again another time. On the up side, the staff are nice. Hi there, thanks for the feedback on your steak. Very sorry it wan't up to our usual standards. Can i ask if a table check was done on your table because this is a standard i expect from my staff on all our tables? Just trying to determine if it's an issue that could've been fixed on the day. Sorry again for the poor steak, come again soon.
