My 14 and 12 year old and their two friends all loved their time at the Aqua park attached to the GC Wake park. (I had a great time too). It was a rainy day, but they loved it, they slipped, slid, jumped, climbed and swung. Afterwards we ate tasty hot food. The staff were friendly and efficient, the bathrooms were clean and tidy, parking was easy, and I would go back again.

Australian Outback Spectacular

Embark on a journey to the heartland of Australia through an all new show featuring a transformative arena, mesmerising animals and immersive technology. Delve into the real-life struggles Aussie farmers face and rejoice with them as the community's courage, bravery and generosity help them overcome a stunning, yet unforgiving life on the land. Australian Outback Spectacular’s Heartland promises an unforgettable night out with a three course dinner and drinks.

The show is meant to showcase Aussie bush skills especially working with stock and this certainly is achieved. Horses are ridden beautifully and dogs round up cattle and we see some exceptional riding skills. As well Australia’s history and climate are showcased in a corny story but it appeals to all especially the Japanese school students at our show. There’s humour and you-beaut-utes and even a song or two. Before the show patrons can be photographed (but it’s pricey) and view the horses and the clever dogs. It’s well organised and patrons find their seats easily with the help of lots of polished staff. The three course meal is good value and the excellent service means meals are hot, drinks are plentiful and the special effects ensure everyone is entertained. The addition of a hat for all makes this a memorable evening,

We bought a 7 day super pass for us 2A, 2C (8 and 11yo) and had a blast. We came 3 times over the 7 days and the kids enjoyed many rides and attractions. The park was very quiet compared to previous years due to border closures but the crew worked hard to make guests enjoy the day. Coming from SA we don’t get the chance to do theme parks except when on holidays so it was a real treat. The kids loved the Wild West Falls, Road Runner roller coaster, Bat Wing and Justice League rides, and the Stunt show and Yogi Bear shows were lots of fun! While the food options were limited, with park numbers so low it was understandable that not all outlets were open. We loved the merchandise deals with the buy 3, get 1 free Tshirts, we stocked up on clothes and beach towels and even had a few freebies thrown in. While some rides were closed (We were especially looking forward to Scooby Doo), overall there was plenty to do and enjoy. The ride closures are on the website so we knew in advance what to expect. One of the days a storm and lightening was coming in so some rides shut due to this which was reasonable due to the safety risks. It will be good when the borders reopen so the park’s can operate normally, but we took full advantage of no line wait times which was to our advantage this trip and were able to go on rides multiple times over and over. We must make mention of the cast member who plays the Joker - what a riot! He had us in stitches!! I can’t wait till next year when my daughter will be tall enough to ride the DC Rivals Hyper-coaster - it looks amazing!! (I should have snuck on without her hahahaha)

We hired a Wave pool Cabana for the day as our base and the kids had a great time, while us older adults relaxed in the cabana.

Paradise Country

Such a wonderful experience. We booked the special breakfast tour as a group (after seeing the Sunrise reviews) as a group of girl riders for an Australia Day weekend getaway trip. Had the best time. Breakfast - nothing left out - Waldo the Koala was brought out by his wonderful handler and the day just got better and better from there. We paid $70 which also included hand feeding some more koalas at their enclosure and an educational talk by “Sharna” while so close to 4 Mumma bears and 2 babies. Stepped over a lazy kangaroo lounging about on the path in the shade while emus looked on curiously THEN..... a professional photo taken holding a gorgeous little koala while my heart melted. The gift shop pretty reasonable and a percentage of sales go towards animal conservation. General admission includes sheep sheering demonstration, baby animal area, sheep dog trials, tractor train ride, Damper and billy tea, lots of other animals - marmosets, dingos, peacocks. Had a ball.
