Shyun is a rare gem. An authentic Japanese restaurant in the suburbs. You will struggle to find somewhere as authentically Japanese as this in a wide radius (other than Shyun Ramen over the road!!). People of Carnegie, you are blessed indeeed. The food is fresh, flavoursome, fast and fantastic. Staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable. You must book - it is clearly a Carnegie favourite. Dust off your chopstick skills and have dinner here. You will not regret it.

We have visited this cosy restaurant a few times and will keep coming back! The Ramen I our favourite but they also have good entrees and the green tea ice cream is a must have. The restaurant is small and has a quick turn over. You pretty much eat and go. You won't be sorry eating here.

We came here for lunch with the kids and thankfully the menu has few choices. It's nicely set out in pine furnishing where we aren't afraid for the kids to have some fun.We shared the Panko Chicken curry, Panko chicken set, Renkon chips, Quinoa Gyosa & Chicken Don.All of it was very nice.

Went to this restaurant chain again because I really miss their roasted tea ice cream which I can’t find anywhere else in Australia or Canada. It was so disappointed that the ice cream machine was under maintenance. This is the first time having dinner at this restaurant. Certain items are pricey. The soft shell crab salad doesn’t offer full crab but a lot of veggies instead, same situation as beef tataki salad, only few small pieces of beef. Deep fried lots roots isn’t bad at all, quite a big portion. It was a hot day (37c) but this restaurant doesn’t offer air conditioning, so it was quite hot. Be prepared for that. Good customer service.

What a pleasant find!A 15 seater, cute little local Japanese restaurant which reminded us of family run izakaya's in Japan. Licensed, serving a well priced selection of beer and wines. Excellent selection of entrees, mains, noodles etc. We over-ordered because we wanted to try everything; however we managed to finish it all! Small selection of deserts and we were offered a taste of a bean paste with walnuts before we decided on what to order. Macha ice cream was excellent; although the lemon tart was a little bitter and not as enjoyable as we'd hoped. Nevertheless, we loved dining here & will be back. Staff were very friendly & helpful.
