Best RV park on our trip

Reviewed By Vtruscott

We took a 2 week trip in Eastern and NE Washington...in some of the more remote areas it was hard to find a decent place. We stumbled on Gold Mountain and felt like we struck gold! The sites are all very large pull through with grass along side and some smaller trees. The nicest part was the access to indoor space and spotless bathrooms and laundry. And very affordable. Highly recommend! The owner/manager was super friendly!

Black Beach Resort

Clean rooms and very accommodating

Reviewed By LadyAurrora

We got 3 last minute cabins at Black Beach Resort due to a family emergency. The staff was so helpful and accommodating for all our unexpected changes and uncertainties. The rooms were clean, the views beautiful, and we felt well taken care of. We couldn’t ask for more during a difficult time.

Fisherman's Cove Resort

Fisherman's Cover Resort is the best!

Reviewed By P859RZanns

I love Fisherman's Cove Resort! I started staying there on business trips long ago and it was so beautiful and peaceful I started coming back for vacations. The cabins are rustic but fairly clean. The cabins up on the peninsula that extends out into the lake have the best views, but all cabins I've stayed in have at least partial views of the lake. The resort rents sit-on-top kayaks and, I think, boats too. The snack shack has good breakfast and burger type food, although they aren't always open in the off season. The cabins, though, maybe all of them, have fridges and stoves and microwaves. The snack shack is all outdoor dining or takeout. And you can buy homemade ice cream sandwiches in the resort store that are truly to die for! The county-owned Rail Trail (trail on an abandoned railroad grade) is nearby -- it runs down the west side of the lake and you can hike for miles, all the way to Canada if you want. The Stonerose Eocene fossil beds in nearby Republic are a lot of fun -- you pay a small fee and can dig fossils and take some home! The Stonerose museum in town has nice fossils on display too. There are small mining ghost towns you can see on day trips and, when the border opens again, you can do a day trip into Canada, maybe 30 miles to the north. The Republic and Curlew Lake area has a lot of unusual and interesting things to do, and it doesn't get as much tourist traffic as other parts of the state since it's fairly remote. On this trip we stayed in Cabin 11, which has a wonderful view up the lake to the north; last year I stayed in Cabin 14, which has an equally lovely view down the lake to the south. Both cabins had beavers swimming by every morning and bald eagles twittering in the tall conifer trees above the cabins. We also saw pileated woodpeckers this year -- close-up views from our cabin window.

Nice

We stayed here in our motor home for a week and loved it! It was quiet. A deer left her fawn for part of the day near the fence. Ground squirrils and lots of birds. A bald eagle flew in and landed an a hill in front of our rv the first day we were there. It's an older park and we chose a back in spot because it was wider. They have widened the roads with gravel to handle bigger rigs. The facilities are older but clean.

Tiffany Resort

Tiffany's resort dirty and run down

Reviewed By Danamag19

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tiffany's resort this weekend for one night at Cabin 5. We found the place infectiously dirty to the level of health abd safety and the only positive was the lake view. The owbers keave at 5:30 pm and so when we came back at 8:00 there was no one to contact. These cabin have obviously been constructed at a time lead paint was used the facility have tons of decaying wood peeling paint and obvious mold growing in and around the sink area. The caulking was little to nonexistent there was cracks in the concrete floor in the livibg room and bathroom, the floors were so dirty that we had to wear our shoes and there were light fixtures that did not work. The windows did not stay open and if they did they had, there were broken screens which duck taped to seal the screen. There was a serious gap in the door which allowed the outside wind and air to enter the cabin including bugs. When we looked up at the light at night there were tons of little green flies around the light. The beds were covered with old, motel like cover, which was not clean, and the bed was covered with cheap sheets, on an old mattress. I checked for bed bugs... did not see anything, but who know? The furniture was run down, bed side tables were missing handles. In the bathroom we found two soaps and no shampoo. The gas heater in the living room did not work, the couches were filthy, and all stained and dusty, God knows what was on them... There is no doubt when the facilities were originally constructed, they were fantastic and something to build family memories. In the review book, people reference those magical times, but now these cabins pose a serious health hazard to those hoping to enjoy the lake. There's a serious concern of mold spores, being dirty, lack of sanitation due to COVID-19 protocols, the structures severely asked the question should they be condemned for health and safety purposes?? We understand staying in the rustic cabin, we also do not mind old, but we do not pay to stay in filthy and condemned places. We rented it as a choice instead of staying in a tent, as the nights are getting cold and we knew we were coming in late, but this type of facility looks like something that you would find abandoned with no maintenance being done for years. And all this for the price of $118.00 plus taxes per night, when the state park across the way charges $30 a night for a tent spot and the grounds there are spotless and maintained amazingly. While the cabins are decaying slowly, the owner is building new house and their current home which is right on the property oozes woth the richness of a Beverly Hills like mansion with big expensive looking signs with warning of no soliciting or trespassing on their private property with fancy, "top shelf" sectional on their lake view porch. At check out we provided the feedback about the cabins. The owners feelings of discomfort were only concerned that another potential client who was in the room at the same tim with me heard what I was describing They said they are sorry to me, and then, they excused themselves that the client had to hear me. They did not seem to see that this was a health and safety concern, especially in the world of COVID-19. The owners responded by asking me why we didnt leave when it was so bad...or why didn't we say anthing. No one was available after 5:30 pm. We won't be back!
