My friends and I decided to try Takhrai Thai after reading all of the wonderful reviews. We went around 5:00 so it was early for a Saturday night. We got seated right away. We handed the waitress our $25 off coupon. She was very unfriendly and a bit cold toward us. I ordered a glass of wine and one of my friends ordered a beer. My other friend had a bowl of soup to start which was delicious. We ordered three entrees to share: duck, crab fried rice and cashew nut. The duck was dry and full of bones. The crab fried rice tasted extremely fishy. We all enjoyed the cashew nut. It was very tasty! We never saw the waitress again after the food was delivered. We were in the restaurant for 1 hour 45 minutes and had to ask for the bill twice. When we finally got the bill there was a 20% gratuity that had already been included. I don't hesitate to give a 20% tip when I have had impeccable service. The service at this restaurant was horrible! I would not recommend Takhrai Thai.We're sorry to hear that you had this experience, Barbara. As you've seen from our reviews, this certainly isn't like us, nor is it acceptable. We pride ourselves on providing both quality food and service, and we're sorry that you didn't see that. Firstly, the sushi, or sashimi, was "okay". The eel was delicate (and delicious), however the RAW, raw sushi had elements of "rubbery" texture. Dry.The baked rolls (scallop) had a delicious sauce - super delectable. Hats off for that recipe. The scallops themselves were tiny. Like fetus scallops. Or Scallop fetus. Also, they had a bit of a preservative after taste (perhaps your palate is not as sensitive as mine).AMBIANCE-strange. one two 44' inch televisions we had SD college football playing. Fine. i can get down with that.on two other tv's John Stamos (circa Big Hair) and Bob Sagett's FULL HOUSE.The music in the restaurant?1. 50 cent ( Candy shop)2. All American Rejects ("when darkness turns to light...")Biggest UNLIKES- we had to get up 4 times to ask for things, order, request spoons (despite having already been handed ice cream) and then receiving dirty spoons. In my book, these kinds of things tend to over shadow the pleasant flavors.

This was the first time my wife and I visited this restaurant. We were very pleased when we entered the restaurant, seeing that it was new or newly remodeled. The interior is very tastefully decorated. The food was very good and they have a good selection of beer. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Vietnamese food.

Came here for business lunch. I don't go to Vietnamese restaurant a lot because I don't care much for their dishes. When I do go to one of them, it is mainly for the Pho. One of these day if I can figure out how to make the soap base for the Pho, I'll fix it at home. The soap base taste about the same from one place to another. There must a receipt that thaty al follow.The pho is good, place is clean, price was around 6:.30 to 8 dollars, which is reasonable. Service was fine.If you are looking for Pho in the area, I would recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.
