I went to Sabi because of the great reviews. Perhaps my expectations were to high, but my experience was that the prices were according what I expected from a top rated Sushi restaurant, while the eating experience was very average. Perhaps the best Sushi in Haugesund, but I would prefer Bento Sushi for much higher quality/price ratio.

It could be easy for India Gate to sit on their laurels as the only Indian restaurant (I have found) in town and let standards slip, however they don't and the result is a pleasant meal by the waterside. Norway has a bit of a rocky road with Indian restaurants (see the Bergen Indian reviews on this site) so I am glad that India Gate puts in the effort. The staff are nice, the food is OK and I am sure to call again.If I am to be critical though, I spend 500kr on a curry, naan, beer and a lassi which is a little expensive considering the food is good at best. Certainly for 500kr you can eat very well in other places however if you want curry, you are in Haugesund and have 500kr to burn then go crazy.

Besøkte stedet etter å ha lest et par gode anmeldelser her.Vi opplevde også mattilbudet som svært godt. Her fikk vi servert fantastisk god thaimat.Sørgelig at stedet tydelig har satset på Take-away. De få sitteplassene er på kjipe bord/stoler. De få bordene står tett. Så dette er ikke stedet for forretningslunsj eller å lufte kjæresten.Velger å gi karakter «svært godt» på bakgrunn av mat og servicenivå for «take-away-kiosk»

This is the go to sushi spot! The todays special (Dagens spesial) is very good, and a great value! They're other foods are also very good, but the real gem is the special of the day.
