I went to Caminito last night with my wife and 2 very good friends and we had a superb dinner. If you like good steak washed down with an excellent Malbec then Caminito is your place. The owner is a delightful and knowledgeable man. The food is cooked to perfection. The potatoes with Gorgonzola or the roasted sweet potatoes make an excellent accompaniment to the meat. The French fries could be a little more imaginative but that is a very small point. It is rapidly becoming my favourite restaurant in Albir (and Iâve eaten out in Albir for over 25 years). It is usually quite busy even when other nearby restaurants are empty which in my book is an excellent sign. I recommend that you give it a try.

Visited recently and left very disappointed. I ordered chicken breast and all that came on the plate was a couple of chicken breasts. There was no warning from the waitress that it doesnât come with any accompanying vegetables, salad etc. Just two plain breasts were served. No sauce, nothing. In addition the chicken was already over cooked by the time they landed at my table and serving them on a hot stone meant they became hard and dry very quickly.Others around me were getting steaks which looked great, so perhaps I just ordered the wrong choice on the night. But I would have expected more on my plate.Giving two points as a score...one for the staff and one for the decoration of the restaurant. Nothing else deserves a score.Pretty disappointed and i wonât return.Hello, First, thank you for let us know about your recent experience, we would like to say that all the items served on the Stone comes with a side order included, it should have been explained by the waiter on that moment. We apologised if this was not done. Sometimes if chicken left too long on the stone it can get a little dry, we truly apologise if was not as expected. Good selction of grilled food with a wide selection of sides. Tasty and smooth house wine. Several languages spoken by friendly and efficient staff. Our go to place for steakes and grilled skewers. The baked potato are absolutely delicious. It is like a wonderfull, tasty mash inside a shell. Makes me smile.

A friend of mine wants to go to this place with me every time we are in Altea because the place serves âkibbelingâ. I did expect much but the surprise was pleasant. Beside the kibbeling they serve easy restaurant food like steak.
