Find out what Korean restaurants to try in Mongolia. Mongolia /mɒŋˈɡoʊliə/ ( listen) (Monggol Ulus in Mongolian; Монгол Улс in Mongolian Cyrillic) is a landlocked unitary sovereign state in East Asia. Its area is roughly equivalent with the historical territory of Outer Mongolia, and that term is sometimes used to refer to the current state. It is sandwiched between China to the south and Russia to the north. Mongolia does not share a border with Kazakhstan, although only 37 kilometres (23 mi) separates them.

My visit to the Seoul Restaurant was very pleasant. I went with friends and I was not previously familiar with it. We had a great evening together. The staff did not rush us and just let us visit and enjoy ourselves. My visit was a very nice experience.

This is the best Korean Restaurant in town, i'd say. Most Korean restaurants are not really comfortable to sitting. This one has comfortable seats and nice atmosphere. Also they have desserts.2 branches in town. 1st one is in BlueMon, another one is 2nd floor of UB Jazz Club.

Pyongyang Restaurant

After three attempt to find this place, we followed the tip to use "EXE PLAZA" on google maps, rather than the location in the Lonely Planet and found it on the top floor of what seemed to be an office block. The decor is very strange, a giant fake wisteria festooned with lilac, blue and green fairy lights and some neon tulips in vases [ which I would have quite like for myself]. The service was attentive, but you were watched the whole time by a lady standing at the front and more or less directed through the vast menu. The beer was very weak and we received strange looks when we requested another bottle each. Loud military music played until the waitresses performed a show of traditional singing, dancing and instrument playing involving several changes of costume. Unfortunately any attempt to take photos was met with a request to delete it and you had to prove that you had done so. The food, however was delicious, well cooked and nicely presented. At the end of the restaurant is a small shop selling souvenirs from North Korea, we bought a magazine which you most certainly would struggle to find anywhere else. It was fairly pricey , but an experience you'd struggle to find anywhere else. Try it and see for yourself!

We ordered the meat plates for the table which was accompanied by many side dishes of delicious choices. Food was served in long trays so all could enjoy the offerings. We were all able to find something we liked with plentiful servings. Hot green tea was served along with lunch.
