Reviews on Contemporary food in Mongolia, Mongolia. Mongolia /mɒŋˈɡoʊliə/ ( listen) (Monggol Ulus in Mongolian; Монгол Улс in Mongolian Cyrillic) is a landlocked unitary sovereign state in East Asia. Its area is roughly equivalent with the historical territory of Outer Mongolia, and that term is sometimes used to refer to the current state. Our tour group stayed in the Shangri-La Hotel (reviewed separately). This dinner meal was part of our tour package, so we cannot comment on the prices. The buffet selections were excellent, and the restaurant was very pleasant. Service was also excellent. We also had two breakfasts in the Cafe Park, and both were very good. We highly recommend this restaurant (and hotel).Dear realbigbear,Thank you for sharing your dining & hotel stay experience with us! We are glad to hear that our restaurant made a great impression on you and it is an honor to receive your kind compliments!Thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!Sincerely, Terence Tan | General Manager

Asiana Buddha Vista is a fun alternative to your hotel restaurant. Serves pan-Asian cuisine, with a large drinks list (including sake). Best to order a few items for the table and share. Atmosphere is festive. UB is short on good restaurants; Asiana is an easy mid-range standout.
