i visited this restaurant with my friends. We took some time to select the dishes from the menu. The waitress who was impatient then suggested the strangest thing I have ever heard at a restaurant. She asked us whether we really wanted to eat there and if we wanted cheaper food she could suggest other Indian restaurants. We found her to be incredibly crude and rude. Since we did not have much time to go to other restaurant, we ordered some stuff, finished our food and left quickly. We also deiced never to go back to this place.Dear Filiform Thanks for reviewing us. As mentioned by you in your review about the incident i tried to to check with our service in-charge regarding that, but to my surprise nothing as such happened and nobody suggested you anything . we take pride in our hospitality and our staff is competent and experienced enough not to behave in this manner with our guest & Our service is appreciated by other reviewers for being professional and KindAs we were very busy this evening and our wait staff didn't really had the time to indulge in these unwanted conversation, Any how we regret the situation that arise may be due to a misunderstanding. As nothing is mentioned about the problem with the food, I assume you were satisfied with it unlike the other Indian restaurant you tried during your stay in st Gallen as reviewed by you on Trip Advisor.

Usually in Europe, when one goes to an Indian restaurant, one expects certain welcome with free starters like Papads, chutneys, raitas... but this restaurant did not offer anything. They serve all dishes with complimentary rice, but when I asked if they can give Roti or Naan instead of free rice, they refused. Apart from that, prices are very expensive, compared to other indian places in town. Food quality was good and quantity was fine too. But overall experience was not worth remembering, I think simply because it is in a posh and prime area of the city, the prices are higher than usual.

Mine and my fiance's experience in this place was excellent. Folks were really welcoming, nice and flexible. Place had a nice spacious vibe. We were served with good starters. I being Indian, ended up ordering a dish which was not in the menu, and yet they very happily made it and served it. The owner was really friendly and caring. The quality and quantity of the food was really good. Prices were reasonable compared to Indian Palace near the Cathedral. All in all, a recommended place for a nice Indian meal in St.Gallen.

They serve cheap Indian buffet for lunch and dinner. It seems the same stuff made for lunch is also served for dinner. The weekly menus are set and the quality of food is decent. The vegetarian dishes are better prepared than the meat items. Some of the dishes like lentils are present every day. Usually there are two vegetarian dishes and one meat dish served with rice. The restaurant is poorly staffed with only the owner and his poorly behaved wife to serve the customers. There is nothing professional about this place and this is also reflected in the decor of the place which is rather cheap. The lunch crowd is also usually customers who want to eat cheap.
