Takeaway or Dine in the food is wonderful, rice is included and not an extra.Butter Chicken and any Korma is our top choice as we like mild. Usually a 30 min wait for takeaway. Dining is in or out on verandah, highly recommend verandah, Taj is out the back of Nambour at Coes Creek a lovely quiet area 3 mins from the main st of Nambour.

This newly opened restaurant is currently offering a lunchtime curry and rice for $6.95. Excellent value. The surroundings are basic, and there was very little choice of drinks on offer, but the curry was generous and excellent. Cooked fresh, it was served in a take-away container with a separate section for the rice. As I was eating in, I also had a large plate and cutlery. The curry was medium - and it matched the description unlike other restaurants who hold back on the heat. If you don't like it hot then definitely choose the mild rather than medium - but I loved it. Will definitely be back.

I've been coming to the Taj for 6 years. Probably eaten there 20+ times. Originally an offshoot of the highly-regarded parent restaurant in Burnside, Nambour, the Taj served excellent food. But just recently everything has changed. The original owner is no-where to be seen. The kitchen is now staffed by Chinese and Koreans instead of Indians, and the food is truly horrible - watery, tasteless, mostly gravy with ittle meat, far too sweet. The worst Indian food I've tasted in Australia. So go to Burnside, or Cooroy - the latter especially good food, but hard to get a table.

I know this place has been here for years and I had heard good reviews, but this was the first time visited. Really impressed with the curries, 3 serves well and truely fed 4 hungry adults and the service was fast, polite and efficient. Weâll definitely be back
