My wife and I stopped here for lunch while traveling to Atlanta. It is about a mile from the interstate, but well worth the stop.I got the pulled pork sandwich while my wife had the Brunswick stew. They were both very excellent. My wife decided she wanted to drink milk with her meal and was very surprised by the size of the drink.I really liked the pulled pork sandwich and appreciated the variety of sauces on the table.Our server was very attentive.

Although our waitress was very nice, her knowledge of the menu was non existent. Order all white meat for a chicken/rib combo and she brought a plate with a drumstick and thigh and could not understand that these were dark meat pieces. eventually another employee walked by and stated that they were out of white meat, although two of the other plates that were served at the same time to our table had white meat pieces.The quality of the food was not what I expected from Sonny's.I definitely would not visit this location again and there are a lot of choices at this exit from the highway.

Started our meal with the fried green tomatoes and it was great. We had the pulled pork and the beef brisket for the main course and both were excellent. Not a fancy restaurant but clean and nice, also has outdoor seating. Service was also good and prices reasonable. We will go back when in the area again!

Very good BBQ, indeed. You can tell he is very proud of his cooking and he should be, too. I have tried his pulled pork, his rib and the sausage. The kids also love his mac &cheese and the baked beans. It is a treat for the whole family.
