It's a bit out of the way in College Point and the parking lot can get crowded, but the food is pretty good with a good variety of Asian choices. We came early on a Saturday at 5:30pm. The place was not crowded yet and everything was well-stocked. The restaurant looked clean and well-maintained. If you're facing west, you get a nice glimpse of sunset and the Manhattan skyline.

We have been going to Akiyama for many years. The food is consistently good and is always fresh. The owners and staff are friendly and make you feel at home. I would highly recommend this restaurant for good, reasonably priced Japanese food.

I was staying at a hotel near the airport and I didn't want to go out. They recommended this place for dinner so I gave it a shot. I was not disappointed. Everything was delivered quickly, hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. Well seasoned and super tasty. It was a little on the expensive side, but this is to be expected. I would order from here again.Good luck and Happy Travels!
