From the reviews it is apparent that your mileage may differ, but when we stopped at 4pm Tuesday, service was quick and attentive. The Mango Squeeze was a delightful refreshing summer drink. No doubt the offering of craft beers is equally refreshing. Our special of the day Butternut Squash Soup was so good that we ordered seconds--so rich and so marvelously seasoned. I had a Mac n Cheese with green jalapeños. We confused the desert board special for three selections but, WOW, what a delicious combination, a sweet bread, local strawberry jam, and gelato!!The bar is a feast for the eye. Given the large footprint and Brew's longevity, it is apparent that a great number of drinkers and diners are quite pleased to stop here!

I tried some tasters and some little samples of their stronger IPAs. The place was full of younger people out for a few beers and it seems like the craft brewery culture is quite alive in the San Luis Obispo.

This was our first visit here during colder weather when their outside doors are all kept closed. Still, it was cold enough inside that we (and many others) ate with our jackets on, which is not all that enjoyable. We enjoy going here in warmer weather when everything is open. It is also significantly noisier when the doors are closed. Because this place makes one of the best burgers in town—The Brew Burger—it will may always get at least a four-star review from me. On this visit my wife and I ordered the burger and the Fish Tacos and split both. The burger was as excellent as it always is—perfectly prepared, very fresh bun, and juicy. The tacos were not on the same level as the burger. They were fairly tasty—given everything put on them—but there was so little fish and so much other stuff that the very lightly seasoned fish could hardly be tasted. It was as though we had ordered a salad taco. The fries that came with the burger were very good, except for a few that were soggy and cold, as though a small ice cube had melted on them. The beer and wine selection is quite good and the service here is always prompt and efficient. We'll go back for another burger when it warms up.
