We are a local yoga group that have had our Christmas party here for at least 5 years . We will not be returning! We were 14 sitting down to eat - we ordered 13 banquets and one special meal for an allergic guest. Later we were joined by another member who had to work late . She arrived at the end of the banquet and only ordered a sweet. When the bill came we were charged for 14 banquets- obviously an error in the kitchen but the manager / new owner an aggressive Asian lady who was more concerned with charging us for something we did not order would not budge- she was patronising and rude and in the end to shut her up we put in an extra $2 each . Customer service nonexistent - she totally spoiled a Christmas celebration that had always been enjoyable experience in this place. None of us will ever return.Dear Customer, Thank you for your valuable feedbacks to us. I'm the manager named Sunny who talked with you. We had a booking for 15 people on the book, 14 people arrived first , so we got order for 13 banquets and one special meal. After that we were informed that one more customer will arrive around 8pm( in half an hour), so we worked out that totally 14 banquets for 14 guests. I apologize for my communication that didn't make you feel comfortable. We hope to see you again.

We were intending on buying a take-away, but decided to dine in. They have an extensive menu, but were still willing to make a basic Chicken & Seasonal Vegetable meal with less sauce suitable for a diabetic. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Excellent.authentic Thai food, beautifully presented. This restaurant is small, so you would be wise to book your table. My wife and I wanted a quick meal before attending a conference event. We arrived at opening time and received a friendly welcome. We were the only people there when we placed our order but it was still quite a while before the food arrived. The waitress did give us a couple of vegetable samosas to keep us going.My wife was pleased with her stir fry dish and my green curry was average.The ambience was ok but nothing special.

We have been eating at Thai on the River since they opened and have never been disappointed. Food is always fresh and tasty. The service by owners Sally & Terry is great - always friendly. Good menu with plenty of choice. Highly recommended.

A lot of talk about this place ... mostly good talk. The meals are value for money. In comparrison to most Thai or Indian style in the area. So points for that. Most meals at the table were good only the pork dish was a big dissapointment. Very dry & like chewing leather in fact & served with no sauce , but a side salad which we found to be unusual for a Thai place. On the whole, it seems to be popular but I wouldn't class this as a restuarant as such - more a cafe due to it's size & being BYO. Service was fast & friendly.

We just dropped in for a quick bite. Ended up having entree, a most delicious prawn Thai red curry and chicken fried rice. The meals were mouth wateringly delicious, the service was friendly and the prices very reasonable. We had an unexpected lovely evening dining on the outside area overlooking Kirra Beach.

We absolutely love this restaurant and Danny the owner is an amazing chef.... however..... when he is not there the quality and service is lacking, im so disappointed. We had a party of 5 and our rice came out quickly and was cold before our mains were served, this is the First time this has happened! Our waitress was not very friendly and the portion size has shrunk dramatically! This is a great place and Its usually so busy but I noticed its not as popular and now I understand why. If you are paying out 20.90 for a main and get a small amount you feel ripped off. Customer service has also declined, I hope this is Not the new norm!!

Thai meals here are good .. ..reasonable priced too ..itâs not licenced but there is bottle shop at the end of the arcade ....curry puffs and veg spring rolls are tasty ..entree chicken Satays seemed $$ for an entree .Seafood pad Thai and fried rice ok as well ..vegan options on menu ... not outstanding but good Thai home cooked meals ..worth a look ...always busy too ....
