April 25, 2023 Moriah Teneyck

The palatial residences of Versailles and Fontainebleau, the romantic boulevards, stately museums and rich artistic history of Paris and charming villages within easy train trip's distance of the city make Ile-de-France an unbeatable destination. While big name attractions, such as Disneyland Paris, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Louvre, top the bill, visitors can sidle along the Seine, sip coffee on sidewalks and create their own memorable highlights in the City of Light and its surroundings.

Rude customer service

Reviewed By AnonReviewerAnon

The accommodations have a lovely design but are very tight in terms of space. You need to walk sideways around the bed! Most of our stay was pleasant, until I asked for an iron and ironing board. First, I had to go to reception to leave a 60 euro deposit and sign a document. Housekeeping was supposed to bring the iron and board after that, but they didn't do it until after we left the room to go to the park an hour and a half later. The next morning I used the iron and before leaving, I called just to double-check that they would return the deposit if we left the iron and board in the room. However, to my surprise, the receptionist said that we had to bring it ourselves to reception or they would keep the deposit! The distance to reception is long and the iron and board are a bit heavy and awkward to carry. They had the sense to have housekeeping deliver it to the room with their car, why did they impose on the customer having to hand it back in person!? When I made this comment to the receptionist, he became rude and wouldn't admit this was an inconvenience, then he hang up on me! At reception, we had to wait in a long queue to return the items and then it took us a while to convince them to give us proof that we had returned them. All this caused us a delay which meant we missed the "magic hour " and didn't get to the park until 9:30.

View Eiffel Tower FROM The Seine & so much more on this floating hotel! This could be listed on both hotels and things to do! Pretty sure all you need is one night but you can stay more. You don’t even have to stay but it’s really nice after the river tour to stumble back to your hotel room. Staff courteous especially Zana (reception), George (breakfast) & Annette (email pre arrival)! We had the Prestige suite which includes a sauna, which we did not use, as well as the back balcony which we had limited use of. Check-in is at 6 PM, sailing at 8 PM, dinner starts at 8:30 PM, and return at 10:30 PM. The upper deck is beautiful and probably would have sufficed in lieu of the balcony but nevertheless a nice touch. The prestige suite also gives you access to the Premier dinner table which faces forward instead of side or in the middle of the dining room. Slight problem was poor air conditioning directly around our table that was much better in the middle of the room. Upon boarding, you will need to ascend stairs so if you have large bags be prepared to carry them up and down yourself. Nice touch would’ve been a ramp from the parking lot up on the upper deck of the boat. Dinner, very tasty with multiple dinner options and sensitivities to your food allergies. You will want to retreat from the dining room up on the deck between courses to see the view better. Dining staff will come up to the upper deck and let you know when the next course is served. Nice touch! Cabins very quiet and comfortable large bed. Of course, since docked all night, no sea sickness issues! Pretty sure we were the only Americans on board which for us is a plus but wanted to let others know. English was not a problem. Definitely recommend!

Don’t visit the restaurant if you don’t speak French

Planned to meet friends at the rooftop bar. The friendly personnel at the hotel reception informed me that the bar was open and for drinks only no booking was needed. Luckily, I made a reconnaissance visit before the evening, only to find out the bar was closed that day. At the downstairs restaurant, I was told its terrace bar was open, free seating, no bookings accepted. When I later arrived with my friends, a few tables were free, but I was informed that they were booked. We were referred to the indoors bar. First, I was told all tables were booked, but when I said I stayed at the hotel and we also wanted to ear dinner later, I could get a table and was told a waiter would come soon. We never saw a waiter at our table. At the bar disk, a busy bartender completely ignored my order in English, although I stood right in front of him, and took orders from many French guests that arrived after me. When I told him that I had waited for a long time and wondered when he would take my order, he referred me in French to a colleague who was busy serving other guests. Frustrated we left the restaurant. Reading previous positive reviews, we were surprised to find this rude behaviour at the Mama Shelter.

I would recommend paying a little extra and getting the Family room, which should provide you with more room to stretch, especially if your with someone who wants to do something different than you!

Great hotel, lovely staff

Reviewed By Anoula126

Went to the Adagio hotel as we had a family funeral this week near Paris. The staff was really welcoming and really helpful. The bedrooms are really spacious, clean, well equipped with kitchen ustensiles. We had one bedroom with a balcony overlooking the gardens in the back and it was really quite. There is even a table and a chair so you can have your cup of tea or coffee seating outside. Car park is available under the building as well as a laundry to wash your clothes. The centre of Puteaux is 5 mns away with all shops, restaurants, cafes you need. There is a mini supermarket Carrefour City at the end of the road as well as a boulangerie for Greg baguettes and croissants. The only negatives points are the pillows which are too soft, we missed a big cushion to put behind your back when you watch TV in bed and 2 chairs on the terrasse would be nice as the bedroom is is for 2 people. Overall, we enjoyed our stay despite our sad circumstances. I would like to thank Frederic, the hotel manager and Feza and Arlette, the ladies at the réception who have gone beyond to help us and assist us. Will definitely come back to this hotel with my family when visiting from London.

The apartment is very clean, The bed is very comfortable and the apartment has everything you need in order to cook your own meals. The service is very good. There is some noise from the street and the water flow in the shower is not great but in general the apartment was very nice and comfortable.
