We stayed in palma for two nights and ate here twice. Really enjoyed the food and the friendly service. We sat outside and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere.

Entramos al ver que era un sitio concurrido. Disponen de mejillones, patatas marineras, diversidad de molletes, salpicón de marisco, etc..., todo ello con una buena elaboración. Buena atención asà como la relación calidad/precio.

We stayed a couple blocks away and were looking for some good food. We wandered around town looking at some of the other places reviewed on TripAdvisor. Nothing in particular was jumping out and as we walked back we hit this lovely square filled with young parents chatting as their children played on their rollerblades and bikes around a lit up fountain. Across from the square on a little corner was a small restaurant with outdoor seating. We watched the sun set over the old stone walls of the convent listening to laughter of children and enjoying good food and good wine. While the establishment kind of looks like any other small bar/resto in Spain the food was fantastic. They offered everything in a variety of plate sizes from tapas to meal. We ended up ordering about 5 dishes tapas sizes and two mid sized ones. Everything was very reasonably priced, more traditional in ingredients than some of the experimental restaurants we went to in larger cities, it ended up being one of our cheaper sit down meals for the trip. Wine was also inexpensive so we ordered a bottle. We had two different servers, one who had recently arrived from the Canary Islands and a lovely young lady who had a giggle over the quantity of food we ordered. All in all the outdoor ambience combined with tasty food definitely made this place worth visiting.

We arranged to meet Fernando here for an early lunch as they were fully booked. It is a Spanish restaurant with very traditional cooking. Fernando choose the dishes so we could sample a range of dishes. Every dish was delicious, goodness know what we ate but the octopus was fantastic and very tender chunks. When full it is very noisy but what a great atmosphere of Spaniards enjoying themselves. The bar is simple but obviously great for the locals and we were made welcome on arrival. We have a handicap in that we speak no Spanish but that is no barrier here.

We stopped in this small town on the way to Cordoba with our family. The restaurant dosen't look any special but we were positively surprise by its excellent quality. We tried several recommended dishes and ALL were very of amazing quality. We didn't except anything close to it. I had the pulpit which is my favorite dish and it was soft and tasty by all means. Spent not even 60⬠for 5 people with starters, main course, deserts and drinks. Wow !

The restaurant is situated just north of Palma del Rio where we were staying - about 10 minutes drive - with ample parking facilities, a children's playground, and a bird-watching area. It was a Sunday, and we arrived for lunch at 2:30 pm a little worried we might be too late - but no problem, the place was quite full of mainly Spanish families and more arrived even after we had settled at our table. The place was lively, but interesting to see how the locals enjoy their family gatherings for Sunday lunch.The menu was quite extensive and we sampled soups and spicy sausage for entree, and chicken fillet and fries for our main course. The prices are very reasonable but, like most of the food we ate in Spain, it was all rather bland, requiring some seasoning or sauce to our minds, or some other tasty side-dish. We observed the Spanish using lots of salt (we restrict our salt intake) and quaffing large amounts of wine (we drink very little alcohol, and then mainly in the evening), but, we guess if you want a full and tasty meal, this is what you must do when in Spain.The service was excellent and the food quickly prepared and served by multi-lingual cheerful staff. Judging by the number of locals, it is a well-favoured diner, and we can also recommend it to visitors to the area - you're bound to find plenty to your liking from the extensive menu, and the prices won't break the bank either.Thank you for your comment. Very friendly server, helped us along although we were too early (opens at 9, not 8.30 as advertised by TripAdvisor). Dinner was wonderful, I had my first taste of Flamenquin, my wife had artichoques and gambas, both dishes were very tasty. Couldnât resist desserts as well. Highly recommended.
