Taberna la Cuarta was one of the highlights of our 2-week trip through Andalucia. The food was fresh, delicious, and artistically presented. Highlights were the creamy mango puree with smoked sardine and trout roe (one of my all-time favorites), crispy fried Brussels sprouts served over a layer of salmorejo (Andalucian gazpacho), and the bluefin tuna tartar. Pepe, our waiter, treated us like family--he was so warm and attentive that we felt we'd known him for years.We enjoyed our meal so much that we returned the following evening for my birthday. It was a busy night, but Pepe made time to check on us and even brought a nice birthday dessert to help celebrate the occasion. We'll never forget his kindness and how much we enjoyed the food, service, and genuine warmth of our too-short visit here.

Very quiet in the restaurant since we arrived as soon as it opened. Friendly helpful service from the waiter. Ordered the salmon with vegetables (oriental style) which was beautifully presented and very tasty. Husband had oxtail which he really enjoyed. Daughter had a simple chicken dish which she declared was the juiciest chicken she'd ever had. Unfortunately no time to sample the desserts but we can highly recommend this restaurant and would love to go back.Thank you very much for your great appreciation we always look for the client to have the best possible experience. regards

I enjoyed my lunch. It was well paced, well presented, and it did not make me feel stuffed even after the large number of courses. Often the combination of flavours went very well. Professional and friendly staff. Comfortable chairs, and I really like the interior.What was missing for me was a little bit wider palate of tastes: perhaps a bit more piquantes, definitely more acids. Also a number of dishes were slightly too salty for my tastebuds. I would like to see included more flavours like this wonderful chicken bouillon (in the test tube). Good chocolate in the dessert!Overall, if I manage to visit Córdoba again I will definitely return to the Powerhouse.

A return visit for me and this was just as exciting as my first.the plates are a burst of colour both in terms of the traditional pottery dishes they are served upon and the dishes/ food themselves. This is culinary drama at its best ! Qulaity fresh ingredients that are turned into some amazing dishes. Restaurant is very stylish and it is good that the Moorish past of Cordoba/ Andalucia is caught up in some of the dishes.

Husband and I enjoyed several delicious tapas prepared by chef Juan during a recent dinner here. The mushroom croquettes and fried eggplant were especially tasty and I loved my glass of sangria as well! The restaurant is casual, a warm and friendly place with a bright and happy vibe. Our waiter Jose was great, very patient and helpful answering all of our questions. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Personally I would not recommend this to any of my friends. Very bright lights and no atmosphere. Service was pretty poor and we left without all of our dishes as we were keen to leave. Mrs. Claire,First of all we appreciate your feedback because it helps us to improve, but we have doubts that you could have confused restaurant when writing your review.  We have the right staff so that the service is the right one at all times and after consulting with my team they tell me in the last few weeks there has been no cancellation of any orders by any customer. So we think there was some confusion with the restaurant, in that case we would ask if they were so kind to rectify it Thank you very much

First, lets just say you do need reservations or just get plain lucky. We knew we wanted to try this after the reviews. We were walking around the area and noticed that there was someone inside. that was actually the chef. she said to wait a minute while she got someone. Well, that someone was the owner. Asked if they had any openings for dinner and asked what time. We actually got one of the last tables for the early sittings. Now, this was an experience. The owner does not speak any English, but he conveys so much emotion for this food. We had had a glass of the sangria, 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of water to start. We than had the mixed insulate, but without the tuna. We ordered the chicken croquettes and Mamas rabbit. Both dishes were excellent with large portions. We had no room for dessert. The owner does everything in the front of the house. There are 5 tables outside with 4 smaller tables inside. and he handles it all...we were amazed....and the service is great. total for all of the great food was 48.10 Euros. well worth it.

The service was impeccable. The hosts went out of the way to cater to our needs. The beer and wine selections coupled the unique and delicious tapas dishes made our day. Strongly recommend a visit when in Cordoba.

Located in the Jewish Quarter, Casa Ximenez is a nice clean location with good, efficient service.The food selections are varied and I ordered a seafood potato salad, shellfish marinated in olive oil, and potatoes brava. Even the âtapa portion sizeâ is very large and I could have done just as well ordering 1 or 2 dishes. Tried this as it was a 10 min walk from hotel. Both had steaks, nice flavour but chewier than others we have had here in Spain. Service OK but if you don't speak Spanish well it's a trial. Medium priced meal came in at 51 euros. Staff tried their best.Thanks for your assessment! We regret that the steak was not to your liking, if you were told this to the staff, we could have changed your steaks. Anyway we are so glad for your visit and hope you will back soon for change your opinion about us and talk you in english! Regards!
