Very disappointing meal followed by an expensive inflated Bill.My advice to anyone wishing to sample fish and enjoy the scenery of an historic town is avoid this place like the plague.We ordered prawns to share among our party of 10. All having 4x prawns each.. Little did we know that these small prawns would cost us 99 euros , yes 99 euros!!!My sea bass was supposed to be grilled , it came partially grilled. 11 potato chips no salad, so the dinner plate looked rather empty!Clearly the staff thought they could charge what they like.We completed the complaints book and advise others to do the same if you too experience this type of service..

We spent a lovely evening here at the end of the summer season. Most tourists have left at the end of September and it was interesting this bar was full of locals. The staff were very friendly and relaxed recommending various tapas.We had marinated Tuna with a potato and onion salad - wow!Very reasonable and very relaxed and yes they serve Manzanilla from La Gitana by the bucketful.

We arrived in at Taberna Cabildo which is set in a bustling square. We were lucky to get a table for lunch. The food is excellent and on a hot day diners were treated to a very fine (and welcome) spray to keep us cool. Only quibble our waiter never returned with our change - we prefer to choose how much to tip, rather than leaving it to the waiter.

Lots of choices of tapas, including all the Sanlucar favourites. I love Barbiana because its location has scperfect for people watching, for the really good beers and wines, but most of all for the wonderful potatoes and caballa fish dish, which they excel at.Thank you very much for your comment.We hope to se see you soon.King regards

There are many eating establishments in this Spanish seaside town & fishing resort, however all those I've tried over the years have been 'overpriced', in my opinion. So what a delight La Campana was, found by accident when meeting friends for a morning coffee, a quick look at the menu & a vow to return that evening. The restaurant backs on to the wholesale fish market at Sanlucar so no prizes guessing what's on the menu! 5 of us ate well [my cazuela of monk fish, prawns & clams was super] and everyone commented on the value. Quality local wines without the silly mark ups were an additional bonus. You can choose to eat in the bar area or in the adjoining dining room, the service in either is good. Summing up; the same quality but half the price of the fancy riverside restaurants nearby.....you'll not be disappointed!

Do nor ger fooled by the white tablecloths in all the other restaurants in this part. This is absolutely fabulous with fantastic service and outstanding food. An absolute must. Go by the fridge display as to what you want, which is what is fresh from the market today, and not only the menue.

Walking along the beach in Sanlucar towards Donana, you will reach the beach restaurants that line up in a long row, all facing the Gualquivir river and the sun. What to chose? The first one is Avante Claro. We've tried other restaurants here, but we always end up at Avante Claro. Very friendly staff, superb seafood and fresh fish as sole, monkfish, lubina and others. Very well cooked. We often start with langostinos ajillo, wonderful taste; one serving for two. Monkfish skewers is a good follower. Or try sole muniere. Good wines by the glass. Sunday lunch here is the best you can get when beeing in the area. Avante Claro is highly recommendable!

In the beautiful Plaza del Cabildo, heart of Sanlúcar, there is this famous and traditional self-service restaurant, operating since 1939.In order to be clearer and not to mislead you, I would say that Casa Balbino is more a kind of "tapas" bar than a proper restaurant. Among the very wide choice of different tapas, the most famous is the "tortilla de camarones" (prawns omelette), which is worth a try.Due to the fame of the place, I expected something more.It's crowded, cheap and excellent to "tapear" but probably not different from many others you can find in the region/Spain.

Favorite place for seafood. Children welcome and both of mine (3 and 7 years) eat well everytime. Fish is fresh, everything well prepared and served rapidly. Can't be best for price/quality/service. We are in Spain celebrating various birthdays in the family and wanted to have a special dinner on Tuesday . With there being 9 of us we needed to book. The staff were extremely helpful and booked us in. We were told that unfortunately they couldnât guarantee that the top room of the restaurant would be open due to the fact it isnât summer. The top room has big windows overlooking the river so it would have been better. When we arrived the top room was open and they gave a great table in the window and we could watch the sun setThe staff were very attentive explaining the menu and helping with portions of shared starters. The food was exceptional and I agree with the general consensus that it is the best fish restaurant in San Lucar We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and service we received
