My friends were interested in a breakfast treat, in a town where it is abundantly available on every corner. We stopped at The Surfing Buddha and they were very satisfied with the selection and quality of food. I however, ordered the kimchi and spicy pork. I was not expecting the food to meet or exceed my expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. The kimchi was definitely authentic and the flavors in the spicy pork were delicious! I will definitely be back!

We stayed for two weeks in Villas de Palermo and ate most of our lunches and dinners at Terraza de Palermo inside Villas de Palermo. Chef Johnny figured out that I love fresh fish and we had a different type of fish almost every night. The buffet lunches and dinners were fantastic - but we also tried many options from the menu and even made up a couple that were served just as we requested.The fresh squeezed juices are a wonderful base for cocktails, smoothies and just refreshing drinks with some soda added! The cappucinos were delicious and we made a game of trying to guess the design made with the foamed milk!The waiters are all attentive and remember your preferences from day to day. Poolside service is much better than in years past. I was even handed a water in a plastic glass when I didn't flag down a waiter for an umbrella drink!The best was Saturday night with live music, every villa sold out and a fun party in the pool, around the bar and in the restaurant. Little twinkling lights decorated all the palm trees and shrubs around the pool. That night made me want to stay forever!!!Be sure to sit on the wood decks near the pool shaded by almond trees with a cool drink and watch the sunsets. We had the special 2 fish tacos and a beer. It was tasty and very reasobly priced. Somewhat away from the busy streets, but close to the beach.

We went to the Black Monkey last Sunday afternoon our friends introduced us to Egga and Robert the owners and Chefs of the black monkey. What a magnificent location for a five star restaurant and boutique hotel. From the spicy martini, to the mojitos, the cold cervezas to the red wine, all while having a pre swim before dinner. I had the corned beef and cabbage with mashed potatoes and a tasty gravy.(Robert makes his corned beef) I also sampled the red snapper and lasagna. All meals very very good with exceptional presentation. Note save room for dessert as the key lime pie and cheesecake homemade by Egga is a must have. A delightful evening with a bespoke meal cooked to order. Fresh seafood and vegetables ( meat available but not ordered) with recommendations from the interesting and charming Italian owner Paulo. Restaurant is on the front but further towards the river so easy to overlook despite being very accessible. Excellent value for the quality. Should not be missed.

The place is real local, simple and nice.The food is OK (fresh fish and seafood) but after a couple of tries, you get tired of it 'cause you always get rice, platanos and salad with every dish.

Our Son ordered the mixed seafood appetizer and it arrived in a deep fried tortilla bowl. There were lobsters as well as other seafood and vegetables in a wonderful tempura. The octopus was flavorful and tender, which can be a challenge. The chicken au gratin, recommended by our waiter, was delicious. It came with rice as well as tempura yucca that looked like French fries. Deeelish We all left extremely satisfied with our meals and service. I believe our waiters name was Reynaldo. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Very pleased
