Weâve come to the restaurant to have a dinner with my wife and son - both like octopus. Ordered the one which was positioned as âspecial dish of the restaurantâ. However this âspecial dishâ was completely overcooked (see picture). It was impossible to eat and we returned the dish.When we said about that we expected the restaurant to replace the dish however they didnât.Then we expected them not including this into the bill - it was charged in full(.This case and disloyalty to customers spoiled all positive impression about this restaurant.To be completely fair, I should say the meat & chicken salad which we also ordered -they were good.

Reasonably priced food. Steak on the stone is lovely & I recommend it. We had Portuguese spicy sausage to start with - nice a little spice but not too spicy. My children had the basic small steak & fried egg it came with rice & chips and even for an adult the portion was a big plate. However when they tried a piece of my steak on stone (more expensive but still good value) they said thatâs what they wanted if we went again it was very tender & comes on a hot stone so basically you cook it how you like & it stays hot for the duration of your meal comes with 3 accompanying sauces & salad & chips. I would go back for this dish. Children had fresh melon & ice cream for dessert. Service was good nice beach views & not too far from car parking by the marina - 1st restaurant on the boardwalk on the right.

I've eaten fish so many times in my life, but this has been the worst by far. Frozen food "cooked" in the worst way possible: no taste, awfull smell. Me and my friends ordered two different dishes (one reccomended): both uneatable. We ordered one bottle of wine: we received the wrong one. The PRICE? The HIGHEST we paid in Portugal in the whole holidays week. Absolutely UNRECCOMENDED, the worst fish I've ever eaten. DISGUSTING. THIS REVIEW IS A BAD FAITH REVIEW We know the reason why you are denigrating our restaurant, the reason has nothing to do with the food, because if it was that you would have said something while you were eating but you didn`t . You could be more serious and tell the truth ... we do not accept blackmail from anyone and the prices are to stay as it was ,l sorry but we do not discount or offer bottles of wine just because you didn`t realise that the price became to expencive for your wallet or because you want to. We liked to see your dishes all eaten to the end and we know you liked it. You had not say anything while you were here . You played with our good work and I don't know if it is like this in Italy but in Portugal it`s not . You had chose the fish that you wanted to eat from our fish display and we said how much it would cost.

Interesting review as we enjoyed the visit as we had a great table on the terrace with a lovely view, this offset the average food, certainly wasnât bad but nothing special. So great venue if you get the right table, but food not matching the view.

Having read excellent reviews about this restaurant, we decided to try it during our stay in Portimao. My wife ordered the crab and I ordered the grilled tiger prawns.After waiting our dish for 1h30 the crab finally arrived, however no sign of the prawns. When I asked the waiter when it the tiger prawns will arrive, he told us to finish the crab first! even we asked to have all together. 45 minutes later the prawns finally arrived. The dish was so oily and salty that we couldn't eat any. After asking the bill, we again had to wait. Will definitely not go back to this place.

Visited with our children, blown away by quality of food. You can see the chef/boss cooking the food. Staff Paolo and George very friendly and helpful. We had pork with Diane sauce (delicious) and steak with peppercorn sauce (also delicious) our children had chicken nuggets and chips (more like 1 large breaded chicken fillet) and childs steak and chips (she really enjoyed it) Definitely coming back, it knocks the socks off other local eateries

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who lives in the building above the restaurant. It was lovely, fresh fish that was done perfectly, lovely wines and ports and the service was so friendly and excellent. The couple who run it are wonderful hosts. I would really recommend a stop here if you are in the area.
