We stumbled on this restaurant while passing through Hampton Bays, and were pleasantly surprised by the fresh seafood and the prices.Portions were generous (especially the lobster roll!) and the clam chowder was superb!Definitely recommended to visitors in the neighborhood.

We have been there twice. It's a restaurant with a large crowded bar. The food service is rushed. The servers are indifferent. The food is mediocre and only a step above diner quality. I had a Tuna Tartare appetizer that tasted old, oversalty and topped with stale avocado spread. The Gumbo is decent. My wife had stuffed flounder that she said was overcooked and dry. When asking if the fish was local the response was "sort of."Last time we had burgers...greasy burgers. When live bands play inside it's too loud to allow for conversation. Same thing with Karaoke. We said we weren't going back after the first time. Gave it another chance. Now not ever going back again.Sorry to see your review Alan. parking right in front outside tables had a wait so we ate inside it was reallly nice cool breeze from open windows large menu staff very attentive i had the clam chowder which was very thick and very tasty wife and i shared the shrimp and scallops over past which was big enough portion for both of us friends had the same main course but they had really good mussels in sauce prices were good no rush on eating we sat outside after to enjoy the weather

We were stopping by the Shinnecock Canal area in Eastern Long Island and topped by this place which was located in a marina on the west side of the canal, not far from the old OBI East/Canoe Place Inn. We came at 11:50, before it opened for lunch and a crowd developed. We were seated on the deck at noontime and I had the shrimp hero and my friend had a burger. Both were very good and there was still a line waiting to get in. This is a very nice place.

What's not to love; a Pizzeria in the front & restaurant in the rear. Not normally an unusual combo but one that thing that sets this apart is that the Pizzeria has white table clots and napkins. That elevates this very nice place from just OK to something far beyond that. Food just tastes better when you get the feel that the restaurant cares about how food is delivered & served. It's a very busy spot with a full dining room and a lot of bustle from to go / take out traffic, but well worth stopping at.Thanks so much for your courteous review!!! Hope to see you again soon! :)

Well folks.......I have been out in Hampton Bays for 7 years and said many times that "I have to try Villa Paul" I cant believe it took me 7 years to get here. Villa Paul is a wonderful restaurant which offers an amazing dining experience. Denise our waitress was just amazing with her table service and control of the delivery of our dinner. We went all out with the apps.....escargot, fried calamari, mussels in white wine and garlic, meatball trio and baked clams....yes folks, we went all out!!!Ford diner we ordered the shrimp scampi, Tuscan chicken and the amazing roast duck in a cherry sauce.. oh boy was that delicious... check out the pics!We had a great time here tonight, service was amazing and the night was memorable...after 2 bottles of Chardonnay...whew, and dessert! Is that right....2 s's?I look forward to my return!WOW, thank you for your wonderful review! We are so happy that you enjoyed your experience with us, and Happy Anniversary to your in-laws! We had a spectacular day and evening to enjoy with our friends. We ate at Edgewater and were happy with the service. The scallops were good, stuffed flounder was ok, the salads were fresh. I wish I could say something great about this place, but I canât. Food used to be better I think. Maybe it was just an off day. The view is worth another try.Consistently crafting a perfect meal is truly our passion, Marie, and I'm sorry to see that this wasn't the overall impression you left with after stopping by. This beautiful restaurant is situated by the water with some fantastic views of the boats and water. We came to this place for late lunch or early dinner. They donât take a reservation for two but they said they have a table at the time we called them. We got there and found a valet parking, quite a big parking space here. Then we followed the path walk to the restaurant. Along the way thereâs a nice garden all around. Beautiful decorations inside and outside the restaurant. We had a table right away, by a glass window. We had Brussels sprouts for appetizer. This one was quite salty. I didnât care much for this. Then my entree was the swordfish that was served with corn and couscous. This one is highly recommended! The fish was fresh and the taste was excellent! Hubby had the Cowfish burger. I tried a piece. The fries was good, not greasy, and the burger was pretty good. We adored the ambience. The service was excellent. We had Allegra serving us. She handled the table really well. After the meal we took a walk outside to take some fresh air before going to the valet. We had a nice experience and hope you will too. Cheers!

This restaurant emphasizes the meaning of Long Island-dining at its finest.The elegant atmosphere of sofas, drapes, starched tablecloths and well-dressed serversgives you a sense of L,I, summer living.
