Bristol is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, 23 miles (37 km) northeast of Center City Philadelphia, opposite Burlington, New Jersey on the Delaware River. Bristol was first incorporated in 1720. After 1834, the town became very important to the development of the American Industrial Revolution as the terminus city of the Delaware Canal providing greater Philadelphia with the days High Tech Anthracite fuels from the Lehigh Canal via Easton. The canal and a short trip on the Delaware also gave the town access to the mineral resources available in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York via each of the Morris Canal, the Delaware and Hudson Canal, and the Delaware and Raritan Canal, and connected the community to those markets and trade from New York City. These were among the factors spurring development of Bristol and nearby towns, explaining in part the industries which developed in the region.

Lived in Burlington for a while and didn't know this place existed until recently. Food is outstanding. Plain pizza and the white with broccoli are so good. Also got a chocolate, peanut butter & caramel ice cream ball for dessert. So good! There was live music on Friday evening, really nice.

This establishment has been around for as long as I can remember (1975) and it has had a few upgrades since then but it hasn't lost it's local flavor. You can get a decent meal there and the cook knows what he is doing. A good selection of beers on tap as well as bottled imported beers. Lots of liquor as well. Plus if someone is not well enough to drive they will make sure you get home. I enjoy a drink there at least once a week, you should too

We love it here. The food is always amazing. Itâs very kid friendly. All the waitresses are nice and helpful. When I was pregnant they made me mocktails and now with a toddler they offer him coloring and always engage him. Itâs definitely our favorite place to go for brunch/lunch or dinner.

It's kind of hard to describe Geraghty's because it's really a matter of your perception. We like it, but we never know what to expect, and that's not everyone's cup of tea.For example, it's kind of dark in there. One could find that cozy or simply find it dark. I think it's a good place to have a casual meal with my husband and my adolescent son after work -- nothing fancy, more in the pub-grub category. It's not uncommon to see a group of friends clustered around a table for beer and wings and watching a game, but my parents would probably see it more as a bar than a restaurant.To be honest, I'm not sure my parents would get past the front door. It opens smack-dab onto the bar. Diners must then walk the length of the long row of stools around the island bar to get to the dining area -- and you have to know that there is a dining area in order to find it, which isn't readily apparent from the front door. Some older (or just non-drinking) folks might be put off by that, and some parents are uncomfortable taking their child into a bar. It always makes me think of that Reese Witherspoon movie "Sweet Home Alabama," when she says, upon running into a high school classmate back home, "Look at you . . you have a baby . . . in a bar."There is also no hostess, and it's rare that the bartender greets the guest as they walk in to see if they are looking for a table or just a seat at the bar. I know it felt a little awkward for us on first time there, thinking we were going to a restaurant and seeing nothing but a typical bar until we ventured deeper into the building.While you're up there though, check out the specials boards for seasonal beers and special items, which can be an unexpected treat. There is a side door on Washington Ave, closer to where most people park (street parking is free in that area), and the side door opens directly into the dining room. If I were bringing my parents, for example, I'd take them in that door instead of the front.At most places that we frequent, I have a go-to meal that I always order. Although we've eaten at this place on a regular basis for the last 5 years, I do not have a specific favorite. Why? Because they keep changing out the chefs, which usually results in a menu change. That's fine if you enjoy variety, but not so much if you were counting on your favorite. I've learned that it's best to just go to Geraghty's without any pre-conceived expectations, kind of like that fickle friend that you've had for years, and you like them when you hang out, but you don't know exactly what to expect the next time. The food is generally good, the waitstaff is nice enough, and the prices are reasonable.The best part of Geraghty's (and the one they don't tap into enough, in my opinion) is their nice patio out back. When we've had a chance to eat out there, it totally elevates the meal.Unfortunately, NJ weather doesn't allow this option year-round, and even on beautiful evenings, we've had to go inside by default because there was no service out there. It's kind of a shame that such a wonderful outdoor space is relegated to simply providing a seat for smokers needing a fix when it could be earning money in food and drink sales if more attention was paid to the area.Overall, we like this place. You just need to give it a chance to get past a few foibles.

Very disappointed in this yearâs Goblestock 2. Even though the rain made an appearance, we could not get past the fact that the beer just was not the same as last year. We tried almost all of the beers that were offered among 4 of us and the consensus was that we couldnât say that one beer was worth getting again. The worst beer was the Russian Imperial Stout. It was dark, thick, syrupy and bitter. Lastly, due to the rain setting back the bands, our favorite, Sherwood Brothers was the last to go on, so we opted to leave early. Probably will not be back next year. Sorry!

I usually enjoy my outings here. Then again I usually come on a Friday night when they have entertainment.Arrived at 6:45 on 2/14. Finally got drinks at 6:55. Unfortunately the messed up the wine order. Dinner came out at 7:25. Long wait.Must have been family night. To many kids in the joint under 12. I wanted to go to a pub, not a daycare.At 7:20 it got chilly in there. Heat must have been turned down. They only had 2 waitresses that night. They were running around trying to improve service.Long wait, not used to the weekday crowd contributed to my opinion and low score.I guess I'm just a cranky old dude

Went there for my birthday with a group of friends. The food was great. Love the raw bar. They had amazing drinks. The bartender was the best. Had a blast for my birthday. Great local spot!!!!

Party of four, luckily found an empty parking spot here (3/23). Seated right away overlooking the Rhine River. All was well with great service. Giant pretzel and pieroghies for an app, and more pieroghies, schnitzel, noodles, brautwurst and kraut for dinner. This is one great restaurant.

Went there after seeing a review in a local paper(BCC). It was a rainy windswept afternoon, & the bar was 80% full. The place reminded me of a local neighborhood corner taproom from my childhood days. Everyone at the bar was friendly and talked to EVERYBODY in the bar. The barmaid was nice & provided good service. Every beer came in a FROZEN glass. I had the French Onion soup. Absolutely great, better than I have had in "upscale" steakhouses in Vegas. The roast pork sandwich (The South Philly on the menu) was very good. They would give John's in South Philly a run for their money. This is a friendly place, & I will go back for lunch again & try dinner. The place is small, not fancy, but very good food & very cold beer!!!!ALSO, IT IS A NON-SMOKING ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
