This is my family's Saturday "go to" place. The staff are always friendly and know us by name. We love the queso it's very different from what you find at the chain Mexican restaurants. The Mexican nachos with beef fajita are fabulous. They have a great breakfast too. Only drawback is that they are only open till 2:00 pm Sunday-Thursday, but on Fridays and Saturdays they are open until 9:00 pm. (which is when we go)Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Food was OK once it finally arrived but not hot. You would think after the long wait it would have been hot. It took forever to get waited on and then the waiter never came back once they delivered the food. The staff was as close to rude as you can get. If you're going to take my money you can at least smile. We won't go back.

They say you can judge a Mexican restaurant by its chips and salsa. I would say these guys have an outstanding chip and an EXCELLENT queso and salsa. By far, one of the best locally I have ever experienced. The wait staff, mediocre. The fajitas, a little greasy but tasty. The margarita, tasty. The guacamole, wonderful. Overall, the food was a really good. I hear their flaming cheese is flavorful, without the extra grease. The ambiance is very open, almost like they haven't filled up all of the space with tables. I like the openness, as it combats the appearance of being overcrowded like other popular Mexican restaurants in town. The decor is actually quite authentically upscale and very pleasant on the eye, versus some of the dirty or run down restaurants of the same caliber. The primary downer for us was the fajita plate was so hot that in a matter of less than a second, I had a gnarly burn on my forearm just by reaching across the table and accidentally touching the handle of the plate. My husband did the same. Both of us sustained big burns (too hot of plate), and not by a very brief touch of the skin in the lightest way. Safety! We did inform the staff of the issue and they simply said "oh..sorry", and showed us their burn from another restaurant. We will be back, but maybe with long sleeves on this time!

My wife and I were looking for another restaurant that we could not locate and somehow stumbled upon this one. As it turns out the food was great, the service was good and fast and of course the beer was cold. Reasonable prices for all that we had too. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my fellow travelers who get "lost" and also stumble across the restaurant.

There are MANY Mexican food restaurants in Victoria, but in my opinion, one of the better ones is the M&M Pinto Bean on Main St. The Bistek Mexicana is very nicely done compared to similar dishes at other places. Much more flavor and "zing" than others. Service is good. Seating is plentiful. Prices are very good. Queso and salsa are good, also.

We were here about two weeks ago.I ate the biggest"torta de pollo"I have ever seen(Mx chicken sandwich). My wife had a Mexican plate with enchilada,tamale,chalupa,etc....and we both had unsweet tea!The food was very good, though service was only average in a half-empty place around 1:30 pm.Prices were above average, but that torta could have easily fed two people.Would recommend for Mexican, but not on a tight budget.

We had enchiladas, crunchy tacos, charro beans, rice and tamales. We didnt care for the dry tamales and the rice was nothing special, but the taco shells were so delicious as were the chicken enchlladas and the avocado cream sauce. Our server Sam was on point! He was really professional and friendly. The manager was too. We will return for lunch. Great prices!
